Community Patch - How To Install

hey i got this problem where i have the Community Patch Project mod installed and when i want to play a non modded game my lua files is broken how do i fix that???, i hope u can help me
 
ok ,

The Mod works now , the issue with the saved game was a conflict between the CIV 5 load page and Steam cloud...it also occurs in a vanilla version of Civ 5 .... now it's fixed fox me ....:)
 
Saw this on a couple of Youtube video playlists and thought I'd pop it in to my fresh re-install of Civ5 and all my DLCs. No issues, works perfectly.

Here's my question--has anyone created a strategy guide or (at least) compiled a list of changes from Vanilla?

Hey Gazebo i have one question.Is it in community patch that changes luxury resourses trading.In normal game i think you can buy lux resours from other civs for 10 gold (per turn,or 240 gold),also you can sell it for 9 gold(per turn,and around 200 gold).But in my last game,with comunith patch and few others mods from JFD,i could take 20 gold (per turn)sell lux resors,and coudn't buy from other civs even when i give them 50 gold (per turn)...

It does change it, yes, but those are extreme values. Sounds like something's up.

I'm having issues with the leader diplomacy screen and the UI of leaders and civs on the right side of the screen. It usually says I've opened borders with myself, I can't go back to any diplomacy screen after it appears for the first time, and there's no diplomacy options like trade, demand, etc. on the leader screen. Only the animation. Are there any conflicts with JFD's mods (I'm using them all)? Or is there a separate issue I can fix?

Follow install instructions for all my mods, and make sure you have compatibility enabled for JFD's mods with mine.

I'm getting a consistent crash-to-dekstop at Turn 182 during the AI's turns (Songhai's).

I have the full mod enabled including EUI, but also InfoAddict.

Any ideas?

What version of the mod?
Also, log files?

Please post these in the bug reports forum and I'll take a look.

This is my first time that I subscribed in any forum in order to make this patch work.My current situation is that I am triang to make this work last week and a half I reinstaled game around 30+ times and it is always the same thing (I dont see my resurces, or I cant click on button found city, or my bar on top is messed up, or civilizations dont have civ 4 diplomacy futures)
the proces of my installation is
1. I delete all mods and cach, logs, moduserdata
2. I deleted eui from the game folder and after that I am left with:DlC from 1-7, DLC deluxe, DLC sp maps, DLC SP maps 2, DLC SP maps 3, Expansion, Expansion 2, Shared and Tablet) so 15 folders exact.
4. I updated game on version 279
5. In this step I install full community balance with eui
6. I delete LUA files from luxury resources folder, and LUA from community compatible patch
7. I check in game folder is eui istalled

The most weirdest thing is that first time I installed game it all worked perfect, and in couple of days I tried to run the game and following problems which I already wrote on the begining occured, after that I reinstalled it dozens of time but havent been able to make it work fully

I also tried LUA version of the game without EUI and deleted all EUI folders from mode directory but same problems occured PLEASE IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS TO HELP I WOULD BE WEARY GREATFUL

If you use the auto installer exe, don't delete any additional Lua files.
 
Thank you for fast reply, and I tried that (I installed CBP with EUI and this time I didnt delete any files from mod folder) and on earth map everything seams to be fine except that i couldnt see monopoly bonus from resources, than i tried other maps (continents and fractial) but there were no resources (i tried it few times it is always the same), but on earth everyithing except monopoly bonus is ok could you please help.

Hello, this mod is extremely nice and brings a new approach to Civ, which I really like!
Other than that your latest patch seem to have given me some problems when playing.
Often around the Renaissance age my game crashes. It doesn't matter what civilization I'm playing and it ALWAYS happens during after I click 'next turn' during the opponents turn.
Can't really say I have a clue what's causing it.

I'm using the whole package with EUI. And if you want logs I could bring them to you, I just don't know where they're located. Inserted log files.

EDIT: I solved the problem by following the manual that could be downloaded here. I just deleted the cache folders and the other ones and voila.

Hi there. This a really cool mod but I am have trouble uninstalling in. When I uninstalled it and tried to play vanilla, I would click a units an the unit menu would not show so I cant get them to do anything. Also when I start the game ,the load screen is how it was with the mod and not vanilla. Any help would be appreciated.
 
This may be a very silly question, but if I want to get the full experience of this mod, which of the mods do I actually turn on in the game? I see 1,2,3,4,and 6a, and am not sure which of these I should check off..

Also, I assume this is compatible with Info Addict/City Limits?

I apologize if I've posted this wrongly, or missed the info in an earlier post. I have downloaded and executed the latest automatic installer for the CBP etc, but wish to play just the CP with the standard user interface, ie the simplest 'core' patch before moving to the full CBP. Where exactly do I find the two files you specify to delete? What folder? Thank you.
