Community Patch - How To Install

I don't know how that can be. I have 0 other mods. I'm only using this.

Edit- I checked the installation instructions and followed them, but it's still the same problem. I'm using full version with EUI btw.

Try clearing your cache. Seems tedious and useless, but sometimes it makes the difference.

I need help to make this mod work, because when installing it through the automatic installer (community patch and community balance patch only), having all the dlcs and following every step on the instalation guide, the mod still doesnt seem to work for me. When I start a new single player game there is no changes (policies or tech), even when selecting the civ I am going to play with, all the informations about all civs remains the same. My game is full english and I never used any mods.

I assume you are actually loading the mods in the Mods menu, hitting next, and then starting a game?

I think it's attached now. I couldn't just paste text because it was too many characters.

You aren't actually loading EUI. Make sure EUI is in your DLC folder (bc_1 is the folder name).

I think I just had the old version of EUI. I updated it and everything's good. Thanks! This is terrific collection of mods. It has breathed even more life into an already fantastic game! I'll probably end up over 500 hours now. I appreciate all the work you guys do. Thanks again!!

What is the proper way to install full community patch latest beta and separate EUI installer from the link can someone say ?
Because I've been using the Compatibility-EUI version without installing separate EUI and the interface is completely messed up everything missing and erros of missing dds.

I've been using Compatibility-NonEUI option to install and then Install separately EUI in dlc folder and the same overlapped tradition window and both ways, I get a bug where there's no resources on the whole map, there's like 1 wheat 2 sheep 1 stone on a whole revealed large map and no luxuries whatsoever...like one or two of each kind, this with abundant resource start.

And I did cleared cache and moduserdata folder everytime I made a reinstall and removed the folders from the Mod folder.

The installer guide can't get it if I have to delete Lua and from where because there's no LUA folder in the Community Patch and Balance patch folder there's only one LUA folder in the (6b) Community Balance Patch - Compatibility Files folder and if I delete that and install EUI in dlc folder, everything is missing from the interface ingame .

Why not just use the auto-installer?

That's what I did everytime, used Community Patch Project.exe from the beta archie and when I choose "no-EUI version" this is what it installs

The other mods I've carefully picked from pick&mix website and others which were said to be fully compatible in the forum section and I got a game all up to almost turn 500 with all those mods and the stable version release of CPP . But these two beta versions that have come out lately ,eitherway I try, I get a corrupted UI or useless map without resources and it's not because of the mods cause I tried loading only the CPP mods that come with the install :( .

What I read on the install guide is that you can install with the exe choose full install No-EUI and install eui separately from download link. This I did, I placed UI_bc1 folder and EUI_text_en_us.xml in the Assets\DLC folder of the main game but wont work.

The policy screen of tradition is messed up with the first 3 policies on top of eachother and as I say the map is mostly resourceless and I think maybe it's a thing with the UI that's not showing resources properly because.

I noticed there's a LUA folder in (6b) Community Balance Patch - Compatibility Files (No-EUI) folder and it contains many the same files as in UI_bc1 from EUI...but if I delete the LUA folder then I get interface missing almost everything ingame.

It's not just me that have this issue, there's also the youtuber Marbozir who regularly streams CIV5 he recently tried CPP latest beta and mentioned he had trouble with the EUI and had to play without it .

Eek! Why are you deleting that folder?! Without that, you're definitely going to have a broken interface. Don't delete it, that's what makes the compatibility file a compatibility file.

The fact that the lua files inside of it share a common name with EUI files is not a problem, at all, as EUI files share a common name with base game files.

The auto-installer sets everything up exactly as it needs to be in order to work out of the box – no need to delete stuff.

If you want to use EUI, choose the EUI option. Don't choose the no-EUI option and then install EUI separately, that's madness!

Well that sums it up ... actually I deleted the LUA folder just once ,the rest of the installments I left it alone :)

But that was the confusion in the installer guide .
I thought that the "No-EUI" option means there's no included CPP modified version of EUI in the installer so I have do install it separately .

So the No-EUI version means completely without EUI .

Yet in the install guide says that you can install CPP CBP and all that and then provides also a link for EUI under the section where it says if you are not using the included EUI version of CPP.....hence my confusion ince the CPP installer included EUI I thought it's a customized version of it and if you dont like that just use the regular EUI :)
Thanks will try :)

The auto-installer indicates, prior to installation, all of the files it will install as part of the installation process...

Anyways, hope it works!

Works now, my apologies apparently I wasn't having all the DLC's active in the steam settings or something and the nonconventional civ 5 install is not the latest update so it wouldn't have worked anyway. Reinstalling steam and making sure every DLC is active there solved it :)

Thanks for the fast support :)

No, just the Community Patch.
