If one was to disable policy saving, and complete liberty tradition honor and piety before reaching medieval, and gain enough to open the fifth policy, what happens?
Challenge: to complete 4 policy trees before medieval without going to deficit to stifle science

Normally people try to get to medieval and past in terms of era to make other policy trees available - they are regarded as being more powerful and so better use of your culture points.

Game will be over since you'll be sitting there unable to end the turn. Shouldn't be possible though. Later in the game you can always switch back and forth between piety/rationalism for e.g. to 'waste' the new policy.

If you can do that then youd complete cultural VC before exiting the next era and you should play multiplayer and whup every single player you come up against.
I presume that you couldnt adopt till another tree is open but youd have to end the turn by pressing a certain key combo (i forget what it is it was mentioned in a thread a while back) that forces the turn to end even if theres units to move etc.

I am tempted to try this. Lower the difficulty down, maybe spend any and all gold on maintaining a culture city-state, cap pop. growth to keep science down...

Or.. just make a scenario with 1 mil culture points, Settler..

Just to get it out there, the game does break as it still expects you to adopt the policie,s iornically enough, if you have filled ALL of the trees, it won't ask you for it.
