In vista if I change a folder's view settings and go to apply it to all folders, it offers to change the view settings for all folders of 'this type'. Where do I find the view setting default options, for all types of folder.

You have to do it for every type of folder.

That very well might be my least favorite feature (or lack thereof) of Vista.

Is there a list of what 'types' there are so I can chase them down? I've changed a bunch of folder types but still more are coming up wrong.

Question about windows explorer. I like to be able to click within the folder contents pane of a folder view window...either to get window focus so I can wheel scroll, or so I can draw a selection box. Ever since vista there is a risk that I'll execute a file because the whole line right to the scroll bar is now used for file selection. Can I make things more like XP?

P.S. I've noticed that ms offers the option for checkboxes for multiple file selections (which might be an acknowledgement of the trouble), but I'd rather not settle for this second rate compromise.

Why is it than when I click the Stumble button on my StumbleUpon toolbar, it suddenly opens more than one window at once? Anyone got the same problems? Has anyone got a solution?

I have the same problem. It didn't happen before an update, so it must be a problem with the latest version.
