Why all the ruckus about Civ4 coming up Monday when you know that theres gonna 1 or 2 expansions?? Ill think illwait awhile before buying it, but hey im not as fanatic as you guys

Now people... I don't believe that they intentional slighted the rest of the world outside of North America... I believe it's probably just a logistics issue... Also, are the games for Europe and elsewhere translated into your native tongue?? If so that would clearly explain some of the delay. Also, the logistics involved are obvious to me. Firaxis is in Maryland. Also, if they only use one company to print the copies of the game, maybe they have a limited manufacturing capacity that only allows them to ship enough games for one or two markets at a time depending on demand. Not to mention we damn Americans had to pre-order to get the manual whereas Europe is automatically getting it regardless of their purchase time(or so I have read everywhere). Bottom line, cut the guys a break. If I was waiting for a European game to ship to the US I would simply order it from the UK and hope that International mail was expediant with my rushed order. In closing, I do believe that this game will be well worth the wait! Thank you, and good day!

I'm trying to outsmart it by ordering from the US (unfortunately i'll be getting the CD version instead of the DVD), but it take 7 business days to reach... which brings back to 3rd or 4th Nov.... (i lost count already).... i'm too depressed..

Yeah, my local EB Games in Tampa are saying they will have it in store on Tuesday, which is actually different from every other PC release in history, where it usually ships on Tues and is in store Wed, yeehooo!

Don't get your panties in a wad guys. Patience is a virtue and in 30 days you won't care if you got a day or a week after someone else. In the meanwhile, maybe you can find a way to use the fact that others have the game before you to your advantage when you do get it. Start threads, ask pointed questions etc.

For those who do get the game right away, rather than just shout "I got it" could you offer up some cool stuff to those who are still waiting?

Could someone answer me this, when they say it "Ships on [day]" does that mean it is released into the store's inventory or is it just starting to be shipped off from the manufacturing plant or it is only being shipped to people who preordered?

That my friend, is the 8 billion dollar question... considering some say it will be at the stores on the 25th but not sold until the 26th... whereas others are now saying it's shipping the 24 to be sold on the 25th... ship date means that's the date it will ship but from where, who the hell knows... I guess it could be either the manufacturer or the store... I know one thing, I'm gonna have to check and check again to see when it arrives...

It will vary from place to place I guess....I was told by Gamstop that the pre-order will ship the 24th, standard will ship the 25th. I hope that's tru, I've scheduled half a day off the 25th and all day off the 26th!
