Conquest of the World

IIRC, when this map is loaded in Vanilla, it says, "Zach Wilson, September 2001." I don't know who that is other than the map creator, but whether he was a Firaxis employee or a CivFanatics/Apolyton member, his map made Vanilla 1.07.

I think it is the same map, as it has the "old" Huge dimensions.

WELCOME TO CFC, hrl1994! [party] You are number 12 (or is it 13? Or more?) To make a first post in this thread.

Hey quint, why don't you just steal the Babylonian's plans?

Or does a spy end if there's no capital for it to be in?

I have been lurking on these forums for a while and I think that this story is one of the best I have read! :)

Welcome to CFC! :band: [party] I'm finally starting to remember the welcome smilies!

Hey quint, why don't you just steal the Babylonian's plans?

You can't perform any spy actions on an enemy without a city (beyond seeing what troops they have). All spy actions will become available again if the enemy regains control of a city, however. So we just have to wait till either our ships find them or they find a city (at which all we really have to do is send in a Modern Armor - we'll see where the city is right away).

Well, if a spy can see what troops they have, then the spy must be with them. Can't one just contact the spy and ask him/her where they are? </reality check>

Or maybe the spy is a stowaway without GPS or radio or stars or anything. Or maybe the Babs would intercept the radio transmission. I don't think the babs have radio though.

He'd have to make peace with them, maybe? ;)

Actually, there's no "requirement" that you stay at peace that long... :mischief:

Just get the peace treaty in a deal that will last until war is redeclared?

Doesnt that mean that you can redeclare straight away without having to wait 20 turns?

SCREW REPUTATION!!! :mwaha:

How about allying with America or some other friendly nation (don't think there is one) against the babs, or does Quint want to rack up his kill count? The AI seems particularly able to have ESP regarding positions on things like island location; why can't they find a boat?

It's on a galleon, right?

Hes pretty much won anyway, a rep hit at this point wouldnt do much seeing as he can afford to pay through the teeth for ROP and MPP
