Spoiler :

Played mostly on autopilot --- Pangea means scout more -- find gold means settle it to support cheap settlers.. etc.-- chopped a few warriors for safety - having one WoodII early certainly helped.

I checked few other screenshots... Lots of wood and pop missing, I guess lots of granaries and racks built? I mean where else wood all that production have gone...

Overall, Pangea with gold (and fur) and lots of food and riverside... I guess it is fun of beating helpless AI time from time.

This is a difficult start due to so many options.
Initially, what makes me think about the start is how to balance the commerce with production and settling. I am leaning to going Pottery before Mining-->BW as with IMP we will have no problems with settler production. Couple of cottages will give back some of the turns lost to researching Pottery. Also, with earlier Writing we could maybe bulb Maths if there is plenty of forest around.

I will try to successfully install Civ to my new laptop for this one. I lose a cursor after couple of turns into the game and need to kill the game. I have tried the first 2-4 turns many times so I am probably disqualified.

Say closing date for session 1 is tonight midnight ?

Regarding the starting position, I think it is an obvious case of trusting the settler instinct and move east. there is at least one flood plain over there.
