In favor of game flow i plan starting round 2 without pause, everyone can decide on their own how long they use the discussion thread.
Before picking one save & continue playing.

Note on Noontide's game, only the one listed in this thread can be picked.
(please refrain from posting 2nd plays in future rounds, only 1 save without prior knowledge = a cornerstone of this format.)

Hi there,

this sounds like a fun idea, so I decided to give this a try. The map was definetly a really generous one, curious to see how the others played it

I couldn't resist. I did try to replay the first couple of turns always the same way when I had issues couple of days ago.
You decide if it is ok or not.
Very fun map, decisions to be made every turn from T0, considering fogbusting every turn. No autopiloting.

Here we go, Round 2 starts and goes until Wednesday December 2 (included again).

We will stick with & hopefully successfully test the everyone picks somebody else's game system.
Please note: even if you didn't submit in round 1, you can still join now (and in any following round).
No need to explain your pick, but you can if you like.
Any game besides your own that you either consider best, interesting or "your new mission" can be taken.

For this one play until Turn 105.

May I suggest opening a new thread for discussing round 2? That way we can keep the round 1 discussions free from possible round 2 spoilers if anyone wants to join last minute while others are already done within a day for example.

As long as people use spoilers, it should be fine I think?

Would be a good idea to crosslink these two threads though, so it's easier to follow events for instance a year from now, when both threads could be 7 pages apart or something.

Played from Benginal's save to have some fun with axes. I'll post a writeup and some screenshots in the discussion thread.

I'm all the way back to +2 GPT at max tax and Shaka just spawned my second GG of the war and still won't talk.
Mids can be finished in 3t with 3 pre-chopped forests, 1st GS due next turn. Still setting up a couple more GS farms but Shaka.

I just had to pick the save from @SillyGoat to miove on with. Above all because it has the nicest city placement with all the proper tile improvemnts.
And yeah no issues with things we have little control over helped too, like awkward jungle growth, Poverty Point in our face, the Ivory/Fish spot ruined
It didn't need to have and some axes and writing and 6 workers too. I would still have picked it if these aspects were average/mediocre.

Last moment's save @shakabrade was also a powerful one by the way. (had already made up my mind)

Nice that @Benginal save got picked too. Let's not all move in the same direction ......

Looks like you've got things well in hand here.

GS/GE due in 5t, Construction in 5t, Machinery already in hand and a solid foundation of cottages with another 100% GS cooking away.

Should be a straightforward run to victory from here.
