I meant it as a compliment, as if he were complimenting me. It was not malicious. It was "I'm like her? Then she must be great". That's all. I don't know how you took it, but that's how I meant it. I think BF understood, cause he pointed out that it was not about being great, but about ultimatums.
Besides, why would you throw away the well-grounded argument I put forth just because of that? Quite often I put forth real and powerful arguments, and make smart-butt remarks in the process. It doesn't change the points I made.

ive always been partial to berets as headgear, particularly red ones.
It's not a common practice. I think it was some kind of beauty contest. On professional parades they are wearing usual uniform, without heels and with longer skirts.

These are the new russian uniforms which is good becuase at least military spending gets put to effective use. Rather then falling into an abyss it is used to finally create a decent uniform

This is the undisputed winner. The thread should have been closed after this post.Navy Dress Whites are good, but they lack the rank insignias on the arms, the contrasting belt/gloves/hat and the Blood Stripe on the legs, all of which I think looks great:
