Dying of old age is part of life... but should it be part of this type of community game?

Old age deaths make the game interesting! Plus they increase player turnover helping more people get a turn to play sooner.

Old age deaths make the game irritating! Folks wait too long to get into the game to die at the age of 13. Let them wait longer to get in, and then let them live until other players decide to kill them!

Between RoF and CotE I probably had the longest time waiting only to die at 17, however it does keep things fluid. Perhaps a minimum age everyone will reach unless murdered and a compulsory retirement age to keep things going.

helps to keep things moving, and interesting as one person's view can completly change when their death brings in new ideas... kinda like real life.

Interesting, definitely. Perhaps the algorithm needs a slight tweak for next time to avoid unfortunate events like filli_noctus' sad demise at such a young age, although I'd want to wait and see how the advances in eras affects it through the rest of the game before making a choice. But random deaths really make it more interesting.

Nice to have turn over even if its at your own expense. Just like real life.

I voted in favour of old age deaths. But as Japan's oldest ever citizen by some distance I think its fair to say my opinion is biased
