Hi - has anyone else had this problem. My game will not open just generates a crash report. I joined civilization support and submitted a report there, the discird route doesn't work because i set up a discord account and immediately it was deactivated by them! Apparently setting up a new account is suspicious behaviour.

Does anyone have any insight into what might be causing this?

I've moved this thread to the technical support, as "bug reports" is reserved for gameplay issues.
There have been other people reporting the same thing, but it is unclear what the reason could be and if it is all the same.

Are you sure that your computer has at least the minimum specifications?

i Get the same; a crash has been detected. My pc is a win 11, ultra 5. Meets requirements… get no answer from support 😞

It would be easier if you uploaded the file :).
I checked on google, it seems your type of laptop has either a mobile Radeon graphics card, or an unspecified Intel® Arc™ Graphics card (I would need the file). In both cases it could be that this is actually not sufficient for Civ7 :/, that depends on the details.

Thanks :).
It seems the exact model is not given (thanks Intel -_-). There is 1/6 versions which is not supported (Arc 310), and if I eyeball at the memory, it would seem you do not have that one, but rather an Arc5.
I do see though that your graphics card driver has not been updated since March last year. That could have an effect. I would think that this should be done within the integrated windows update, but that does not seem to be the case.
There are newer drivers available https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html , I would try updating them first.

You are a star! Thank so much. The updating of the driver is what was needed. Thanks .🙏

Please, help me, I also have the problem that the game won't start... I attach the DxDiag file...
Your graphics card (Radeon RX560) is better than the minimum (RX460). Your driver has not been updated since a couple of months, so I would try that.
Hi again - here's my file. I suspect I have the same issue as Joma so I might pre-emptively check that link
You are sadly unlucky :(.
Your graphics card (Intel(R) HD Graphics 530) is not supported, I don't think you'll get to run Civ7 on this computer :(.

I have been trying to play since yesterday. I figured that when it loaded early that it would be an issue so I waited after trying it several times. Now I have tried several things:

Restart PC
Restart Steam
Verify Files
Update Drivers (I updated every driver on my pc before release.)
Uninstall/ReInstall
Disable Enable SVM
Prayed to Adeptus Mechanicus
Sacrificed a Virgin in a Volcano

Basically short of giving up I have tried it.

Best I have gotten is a black screen that freezes my PC up somuch that the only way to do anything is to hard boot it.
And yes, I have at least a dozen Crash reports sent to Firaxis and Support request to 2K. I do not know what else to do.
