I would like to suggest a North Atlantic Trade Defence Organization. NATDO.
It means: All nations trade with all nations in the Organization.
Stronger Nations provide defence for weaker nations.
In war nations that can't support a meaningful army will send contriputions for a defence force.
In the future, we might have a NATDO Force made just to defend our members. This is primary a trade agreement where we agree to trade and defend our trading partners from outside threats. I hope we can come to an agreement and secure ourselves friends and allies.

OOC: I think that that an organization like this at this time would be quite strange. The only true multinational alliance of the age would be the Greek alliance against Persia, and all of those nations only did it because Persia was a menace against all of them and they had a similar culture, which helped in the alliance but hindered in the future when the Peloponessian War came.

While I happily support the idea of a trade and mutual defense organization, having to pay either Florida or the organization just to keep the defense part is something that we feel we wouldn't do. If we had to go and protect someone else in the treaty, sure, we would do it, but paying so that others do that? I fear that I'll only join the trade pact unless the part about paying is dropped.
