Two points:

1. You haven't really questioned anything, you've made some personal statements and articulated them quite poorly. For example, the post I'm quoting you from reads quite poorly and other than the quoted section I couldn't figure out what you meant. It's well and good to talk about personal preferences as something beyond rebuke, but you're trying to argue a point, and so that style is no longer sufficient.

2. Your basic argument seems to be that

This seems to neglect the fact that internet access must usually be paid for, so it's not actually discriminating against anyone who already wasn't economically disadvantaged. This also seems to neglect the fact that such a sum is a one-time payment of roughly equal size to a decent lunch at a restaurant. In other words, if you have a job, or even a reliable source of income, it isn't a big deal. And if you don't, no one was compelling you to participate anyway. Can you think of why a community might implement a mechanism to screen for people with disposable income? Might it perhaps be because there's significant overlap with... adults? Why would someone join a golf club when they could just hop the fence?

But hey, you know, you're right, my food comment was pretty flippant. SA would obviously fall under the entertainment budget. So let me ask you a different question: why would you ever pay $60 on a videogame when you could pirate it, Farm Boy? Those damn capitalists are just trying to keep you away from precious data that should be free and open to all, right? Is it outrageous that DLC tends to be paid, and that movies and music cost money?

Everyone is mistreated by society to some extent. I can only imagine you're being purposefully disingenuous about this to make a point (and wryly, at that!) that good-old Oruc is actually on to something.

I am sympathetic to people who view the inequality of the sexes as something that disgraces all people in equal measure. But you'd have to be blind (or, much more likely, feeling entitled and being quite young) to assert that male privilege is not a thing, or at least so insignificant a thing so as to merit comparison in equal measure to something specious like stats on how much men get raped. And just so you know I'm not strawmanning, frequency of male rape is a common subject on websites run by people suffering from victimization complexes.

Being aware of privilege in society does not make you a "leftist," let alone a "feminist." A website that bans people with poor judgement in this regard isn't enforcing a communist dialectic. Oruc just wants to feel like he's being repressed.

I liked it a lot better when warman didn't realize how sorry his thread was and tried to play it off like he was trolling.
