Crises of the New World Order

The EU is shocked at such aggression shown by the CIS to completley innocent peoples. Thier ministers are currently considering whether to intervene or not, however it is believed that military intervention is unlikley whils the conflict with the 'allies' is still continuing.

President Mordhiem also sinceirly hopes that the recent communique recieved from India's foreign minister was not genuine. Any further war mongering on the asian contintent will not be looked upon in good light.

India and Pakistan at War!

Delhi - In the Indian subcontinent, with tentions flaring for years when India and Pakistan both detonated nuclear weapons and became nuclear rivals. However, this cold war of sorts was heating up. Prime Minister Ohwell of India reported Pakistani troops near Armristar. Fighters in the panicked city were also reporting an attack on their airbase, only minorly damaged. It appears that Pakistan has declared war on India. Indian fighters scrambled to perform prescision strikes on the nearby soldiers, and after that, focused their offensive on the cruel Pakistani army defending their major cities. After clearing the city of Faisalabad of soldiers, Indian troops closed in on the city. Once within the city limits, Indian troops were notified that they were assisted in their effort by hundreds of Pakistanis in overthrowing the oppressive regime. Several hundred were rescued from the Hindu Kush Mountains, while some are near the border of Afghanistan. We hope to rescue them as well. Karachi was also targeted, this time it's home frigate was destroyed by Indian Mirages. Pakistani civilians are rejoicing at the war, and are halting all military work in hopes that the Indians will come and give them freedom from the former Government.

In other news, increased cooperation between India and China has lead India to attack Insurgents attacking southern China.

North Vietnam liberated
The peoples red army of China marched into the main capitol Hanoi of North Vietnam. The crowd welcomed their liberators with open arms. This is only one step in unifying comunist regimes under one grand China.

Kazakhstan under attack
China took matters in their own hands when Kazakhstanian terrorist crossed the border into china killing civilians. China therefor bombed the city of Alma-Ata empty and is now ready to succomb.

Chinese troops occupied Mongolia (in this game Mongolia is not represented with cities or anything, it is just empty grassland. Even though, the area is occupied by Chinese troops).

North-Korean threat
A North-Korean F-15 fighter was sighted within Chinese terrotorial air room. China kindly asked the North Korean government to take care of this problem, but got a very hostile response. They answered with unreasonable demands, such as a cash-prise. China then gave them an ultimatum; Either you remove it, or we will!

China has a very bad economy, but has taken meashures to ensure the wellfare of its people. Economic reforms has been set on production all over China, to reach the standards of the West.

Latest from Pentagon
At 0800 hours on may 23d a small number of Tomahawk missiles were launched from the USS Sumter. They were guided to strike two airbases just north of the US border. Satellite photos indicate that at least two squadrons of fighters were destroyed. Civilian casualties were believed to be minimal, not surprisingly considering the secluded location of the airbases.

President promises peace
The president said that he was optimistic over a stabile peace-agreement coming into force next month. According to White house sources the State departement was unable to arrange a summit with 'allied' leaders. Nevertheless the president promised that there would be no further military action taken against the 'allies'. He adviced president Mordhiem to make peace with the 'allies', but only if the conditions were right. "This proves to the world that the US is not driven by imperialistic needs, we simply want to defend ourselves and liberty" said president Pavlov.

Message from: The White House
To: President Ohwell of India

We obviously allow India to fight to defend their people but taking over Pakistan is not within the boundaries of stopping international terrorism. We suggest you leave Karachi as it is, to ensure stability. We have no issues with you performing strikes on threatening fighters or terrorists but capturing Karachi will destabilize the region and cause an outburst of violence in the Middle-East. This violence will be directed at the EU, the Russian Federation, China and even India itself.

Istanbul and Jerusalem Fall

EU forces captured the twin pillars of 'Allied' resitance in the middle east regioon today. Losses were minimal on the EU side as victory was quickly grasped using combinations of daring paratrooper raids and presicion aircraft strikes.

Peace Signed

President Mordhiem met with leaders of the 'allied' nations and agreed to heed thier request to end the war. The 'Allies' said that they deeply regretted starting the hostilities and wishes that the international community can forgive them. Several of the leaders responsible for initiating the conflict have since been voted out of office in their respective count

President Mordhiem Issues Stern Warning

President Mordhiem has told the CIS to be wary in their actions in Europe. "Polish, Romanian and Hungarian ministers have met the EU council at various times during the last few months and have displayed their fear of a potential Russian invasion. The EU council unanimosly decided to ofer protection to the above mentioned states, declaring that any attack by Russian forces on them will be treated as an attack on the EU itself." President Mordhiem went on to hope that these 'buffer states' could be incorperated into the EU in the future, but that they would only join when they felt ready to do so, not due to military action.

Economy on the Rise

The European Union has now turned out a steady trade surplus for the last six months and can safley say that the economic troubles of the past have been left behind. This position can only be strengthend as plans for a new single currency known as the 'Euro' are set to be completed in London within the month.

EU/US Summit Reaps Dividends for Both Parties

After the recent EU/US conference took place in Madrid, it was confirmed that the two powers should work even closer together than before. The US agreed to send military experts to Europe to help drawing up plans of the new Brussels class of Aircraft Carriers. European advisors have also departed for Washingon in order to help set up a system of free healthcare in the United States.

President Yeltsin said that he will respect the EU's descision to ensure a buffer zone between the two, which will be inclusive of Poland, Rumania, and Hungary. The war between the so-called "neutrals" and Russia has ended, he stated earlier, saying, "We have finished this war and the glory of the old Russian Empire has been restored."

The war with Kazakhstan
Chinese troops captured the city of Alma-Ata in Kazakhstan to prevent further terrorist attacks from their militant fractions wich seem to rule the country. It alos apears as if Kyrgyzstan was involved in the attacks on Chinese civlians. Kyrgyz militants was killed inside the border of Kazakhstan when they opposed Chinses troops. Further mobilization for an attack on Kyrgyzstan has started after the Kyrgyz militants rolled their tanks towards the newly captured city of Alma-Ata in south Kazakhstan. The whole Chinese noth divison has been put on alert after the rescent clashes with the militant terrorists.

South Vietnam will not cooperate
While the people of North Vietnam celbrate their new leadership, the opressive regime of South Vietnam is hostile towards China. Diplomatic envoys was welcomed with unreasonable demands to prevent war. The alliance with India was put on the test, when they demanded that we broke the alliance - wich offcourse was not acceptable. There where some cross-border shooting with South Vietnamese troops. An airbase outside Ho Chi Minh was under attack by the Chinese Airforce. It was nearly destoryed before it was shot down by their AA-gun. China is preparing for a total war with South Vietnam.

War declaration by the government of Banglasdesh?
China was caught by surprise when they spotted a Vintage tank outside Chasa with the labels of Bangladesh. Have they declared war on China? Since they will not respond to our diplomats, we count it as a yes - there is a state of war between China and Bangladesh. China welcome India to capture the city of Dhaka to prevent situations like this in the future.

Korea besieged
Since Korea has failed to remove the F15 fighter, China had to do it for them. Chinese troops have besieged the city of Seoul.

Hong-Kong to China
China appeal to the international community with a request. We wish to include Honk Kong to China after a long time of British rule.

We therefor ask for permition to land troops to finally unify the little part of China wich was stolen from us in the past.

In 1984 the chairman of the Peoples republic of China made an agreement with Britain that Hong Kong would be Chinese on July 1st 1997. Until then the United States votes no to any such action.

On a meeting with president Pavlov, Japan's ambassador expressed his concerns over the large operations performed by the Chinese lately. President Pavlov promised that he would do anything in his power to ensure the neutrality of Japan.

Indian Marines restore order in Sri Lanka, the people are gracious of our peacekeeping movement. We hope to improve the island's economy and then allow it to govern itself.

India grants China economic support, in fact 1500 million dollars.

China wish not to harm any nation in any way, exept for those nations who wish to harm China. Japan hopefully does not wish to harm China, therefor we wish not to harm Japan.

(thank you for the much needed financial aid, Ohwell!:) )

Stolen?? China leased it for 100 years for money!

Peace with 'allies'
After a summit on Hawaii president Pavlov brokered a peacetreaty with the 'allies'. But 'allied' representatives refused to negotiate at first. The Air Force promptly bombed 'allied' barracks close to Seattle. The USMC followed up by securing the city of Vancouver which was engulfed in riots. After this demonstration of force the 'allies' were eager to talk. Hostilities have stopped and US forces will leave Vancouver next month.

Uprising on Cuba
Reports from Havana tell of sporadic gunfire between goverment forces and anti-castro soldiers. The president ordered strikes on Cuban airfields to help the anti-castro forces.

Un-alligned nations gone red?
Unconfirmed sources speak of the communist party winning elections. Former president Suharto has taken the position as chairman. The State department has no comment but hey promise they will gather more information on the matter as soon as possible.

Continued fighting in Monrovia
For a couple of hours government forces re-took control over Monrovia but were thrown out by rebels. The fifth fleet is on it's way to aid the legal government of Monrovia.

Talibans seize Kabul
The White house reports on Afghan civilians fleeing into the mountains.

American economy on the rise
The latest budget shows a small surplus. Department of Finance promises more government spendings to help the economy.

Message to president Mordhiem:

My intelligence sources tell me that your carrier Illustrious appears to be headed towards Monrovia. Is your mission to aid Monrovia? In that case we will change our course, we doubt that two carrier groups will be needed in the region, and you'll get there first.

President GM Pavlov

Open letter to the UN security council:

Gentlemen,

As you know the taliban have taken over Kabul and collapsing Afghanistan. The taliban are a threat to not only their own nation but also to the many nations close by. The terrorism of the talibans will spill over into India, Russia and China. We are prepared to stop this danger at once.

We wish to make a vote on the following proposal: Airstrikes under the supervision of the UN. We are willing to support this operation with several fighters and surveillance planes. After these airstrikes UN ground forces will secure Kabul. These forces may come from India, China or Russia.

The United States find this resolution acceptable but is willing to make modifications. How does the security council vote?

Edit: New save with Ctrl-N pressed. Thanks mordhiem.

Actually they where forced to sign that treaty.

The British East India Company tried to equalize its huge purchases from China by doubling its sale of opium to the Chinese. Even though opium was outlawed it kept comming in to China and the Chinese raw materials kept going out. In 1839, Lin Zexu was appointed by the emperor as a special commissioner to Guangzhou to stop the drug trade. He and his troops used force to impel the foregn factories to surrender their stack of opium.
This act was the stepping stone to the First Opium War when the Chinese and the British could not comply with one another's demands. As a result of the war and the Chinese' fear of British military threats, Hong Kong was rewarded to the British under the Convention of Chuen Pi in January 1841. On January 26, 1841, the British flag was raised at Possession Point on Hong Kong Island, and British occupation began. A few months later, officials were selling plots of land and the colonization of Hong Kong took flight.

In order to make peace with the Chinese, Britain sent troops to the Chang Jiang (Yangtzi River) and threatened to attack Nanjing (Nanking). In August 1842, the Chinese yielded and the two governments signed the Treaty of Nanjing, which officially gave Hong Kong to the British. The Chuen Pi Convention was never signed and therefore never legal.

Your point is moot since the agreement between Britain and Chinaw was signed in 1984, deciding that Hong Kong would revert to Chinese control in 1997. Any actions preceding this agreement are completely irrelevant.

Pavlov, you forgot to press Ctrl-N at the end of your turn. Some of your infantry units in Europe moved.
