EDIT: I believe there is a typo in Q10d. 'Three' should be 'tree' right?

Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes sir! I swore to myself I would submit on time but I don't think I know anything off the bat.sydhe said:You also need to submit to the Researchable PM Quiz.
Yes I know. If only my wife and imaginary dog (it would be much worse if it was the other way round, wouldn't it) did not occupy so much of my time. But I will have a look at it.sydhe said:You also need to submit to the Researchable PM Quiz.
Yes you can. Or not. You know what? I think not.Rambuchan said:Can I have an extra point for that?![]()
"I see a beard and a mantel, but no philosopher" - so far, at least...I'll have an answer sheet to you tmrw or so, you can just stick all the bonus points on that. Yes I think that would be best.
Thanks my friend. You are a bit too generous I think, but that's OK, just continue that way!Ciceronian said:A most excellent quiz my friend! You have superceded both me and your own previous efforts! I know quite a lot of the answers (I think) and I will definitely submit. I look forward to it!
Oh, so that was to you. AM I silly. However I might submit anyway when i have had a look.Yes sir! I swore to myself I would submit on time but I don't think I know anything off the bat.
I think I could say the same about your knowledge, sir.Plotinus said:Well, I think I'd only get four for this one! The knowledge of people here never ceases to amaze me.
Even though I'm no military history expert as such, I think I know the answer to that one.luceafarul said:I must confess i am a bit surprised that no military history buff has managed to answer nr.4 though.
Well, you probably know more than me, my conservative estimate is that there is at least 200 people here that know more military history than I do.Ciceronian said:Even though I'm no military history expert as such, I think I know the answer to that one.
Well, isn't there somebody with a username and avatar strikingly resembling yours that has been flying high on the military pic thread recently?Rambuchan said:You can count me out of that 200I read plenty of history but the military stuff mostly bores me. Far more significant elements in history than just battles.
Yes indeed.Rambuchan said:Yes, one must humour those who believe that battles are the be all and end all in history.![]()
Which is why I myself concentrated on social- and labour history...Whilst we're going a bit OT: Personally I find the economic situations, internal balances of power, the global trade situation, the flow of concepts and the methods utilised to bring those men to battle in the first place far more interesting.
