Cumulative PM-based History Quiz III

Sorry for leaving this up in the air, but I was quite busy with lots of stuff, like the UK CFC meetup. Ibn Sina, Till and luceafarul have submitted, and I will mark their entries now, and then give them one or two more days to make any corrections or additions before closing the quiz and posting the answers. And just by briefly glancing at luceafarul's answers, I think that he will probably have won this quiz, as his submissiong looks quite formidable.

I was wondering what had happened to my picture of Andrea Doria on the other quiz.

Ciceronian, GODDAMNIT GEHEN VON IHREM FAULEN ESEL WEG UND BEGINNEN DIE ARBEIT, ODER SIE EMPFANGEN IHR SCHICKSAL.

Aaaargh, sorry, but since the upload server went down and took the photos with it, and the pictures are on my computer in Germany, I will have to wait until tomorrow so that I can access them anyway. So of course I couldn't mark the remaining three submissions without reference to the questions, and cannot so easily write up the answers. Then I will do everything within a matter of days, promise.

@Phil: ROKEN IS DODELIJK! There! That was Dutch. Sorry, but at the end of term one has to properly say goodbye to all one's mates and have a good time ;) first.

Since the Upload Server went down, I had to re-upload all the pictures manually from my computer back in Germany. They should be viewable at the bottom of the relevant set of questions, in the correct order. If you're not sure which question a picture is for, right-click it and select "save as", and it will display the title of the picture, which will be "cicerquiz" and then the number of the question, possibly followed by a letter if the question includes several pictures. Since there is also a limit of 10 attachments per post, I had to add the pictures for questions 9 and 10 to post #38.

Now that I have the pictures again for reference, I can mark the remaining three submissions, give the candidates two or three days to make any alterations or corrections, and in the meantime write up the quiz answers! Phew! Sorry again for the delay, but bear with me, CFC was really being a pain. I won't bring in the "I was busy studying" excuse, we all either work or study at uni or school here. Anyway, vacation now, so I'll be right on it.

He's probably been distracted by England's fine pubs, castles and museums, picture-postcard scenery, and beautiful women.
