Cursive or Print (Block)

Do you write in [wiki]cursive[/wiki] or print ([wiki]block letters[/wiki])?
Or do you write in both?

I have recently started writing in cursive, though I still write in print from time to time. I really prefer using cursive for essays, though, as (at least for me) it looks more professional. My handwriting in both is legible.

Both. I tend to use cursive more though because it seems faster to me though my handwriting is atrocious.

Well I obviously write and read in cursive Hebrew, that's pretty much to only way to communicate in writing if you aren't in first grade. Formal letters is usually reserved to make something a bit fancy, and only in headers and the like.

Here we're taught to use cursive starting from third grade or so, and in most of elementary and high school, the teacher *demand* that you write in cursive.

So I tend to write in cursive much more often than in print. Besides which, my cursive tend to make better use of the available space than my print - I write much smaller that way.

I write in Cursive when I need to write quickly.

My Cursive writing is completely illegible unless your me.

Both. I often find myself working on technical drawings and the like, and writing in print is really the only way to go in those cases.

I write both ways, although mostly through printing. I didn't develop the right technique to write in cursive quickly. I also didn't develop the right technique to print legibly.

Luckly I am not in your school

Cursive writing is never emphasized in the school district I graduated from.

Cursive is so much prettier. Of course I write in cursive.

I do get in cursive funks now and then, when I have to switch to print.

"Block letters" for me has always referred to hollow print letters.

I need to learn Italic Handwriting. It's like a blend of cursive and print so that you write quickly and legibly.

I remember when I first learned cursive, in elementary school, we were forced to do it all the time. Now I'm in college and haven't used it in years, which is a shame. I like cursive better, it's fast, easy, and my handwriting actually looks like its worth a damn in cursive. Since cursive has been discouraged for so many years now, the only time I use it is for sig-ing

Well I either write in both, or neither. I don't write everything in capitals (unless I want to make it stand out). I don't write like the cursive either, I just write normally without all the frilly bits.

I write about half and half... some of my letters are joined up, some are not.
