Customize World - Part 1

I thought I'd get the ball rolling!! I've taken the options from the Customize World menu.

Vote for one of each option: A, B etc.

We'll vote on tweaking the map size later.

Majority vote rules.

I voted normal map, but really mean smaller, just not as small as small map. And I would vote for a square map, as well.

I voted random for landmass because I like the challenge of as many things being random as possible. When first exploring a world you shouldn't know whether to expect islands or large continents, you need to find that out!

I voted for all Normal. IMO a Normal sized map is good for a Demogame. The landmasses should be Normal to better mix in the Army and Naval forces .

60 x 60 is smaller than a normal one.

And a normal LandMass is fine.

Should we decide if we want a city cap first and if so how many. This could make a difference in how large we'd like the map to be.

So if we say that 20 should be the city limit, that is still quite a bit on a small map... that type of stuff.

I guess we could just as well set the city cap after the kind of map we vote for

Rather than each one of us playing an individual game, we play a single game as a group, using democracy to make decisions. Right now, we are in the process of starting to decided the settings of the third game of democracy. Feel free to make comments, ask questions, anything! We are all glad to help.

So who is voting for large map size!! None of the discussion has been in favor of this option (or did I miss something ). We will drag on the end game and lose players again if we go with large map size, unless you have some plan you are not sharing with the rest of us.

iirc, somebody did say either medium or large map, but not small. I went for medium.

Once we decide which sort of size we want, we can discuss and vote on tweaking the map size.... make it square, taller, narrower or just slightly bigger or smaller - but not as big/small as the other options. Did that make sense?!

I went for normal/normal. I think its the best option for a demogame.

I agree. More than likely, there will be some dragging if we go too big....

Making it random would add a degree of difficulty... would seem like a good thing.

Normal, sometimes I don't even feel like finishing a game on a large by myself.
