CVNNES - To Rule An Empire

To: Visigothi
From:Ostrogothi
Greetings friend, We are both from the same tribe and origin. How about an alliance to protect us?

To:Hellenes
From:Ostrogothi
Ahoy, how about a NAP between our 2 great nations.

The Egyptian Church Ends all Prosecution of Roman Polythiestics

Archbishop Antigonus V of the Egyptian Church declared that all pursecution of the Roman Polytheistics must be stopped, persecution of the Jews is to be stopped aswell. This has shocked countless of Egyptians, but the decision was made because egypt, not wanting to be left behind in the christian world, followed the example of the Hellenic empire, at the behest of the Romans. The Archbishop said from his throne in Alexandria that all prosecution must be stopped, it is not Jesus' wish that men die, regardless of their religion.

OOC: Insane_Panda, there is only one Pope of Catholicism, and he resides in Antioch ;) He could be the Archbishop of Alexandria, though.

@Cuivienen

Whens the Update? So I can know when to have orders and story in for?

To Hispania et Africa
From Rome

Wouldst thou agree to NAPs between all our nations? We've had rough relations in the past, but with all the persecution ending, I think I feel a great peace coming on around the Mediterranean.:)

The update won't be until this weekend. The school year starts soon (Thursday), so that will be my only chance to update.

The Legions on the March
196.jpg

The King Of Britannia having recently reconfirmed the nations close ties with Rome ordered the largest yet incursion to the North. But this time it wasn't a puntitive measure it was to take full control of the Island and gurantee the Kingdoms safety once and for all.

50 000 Britannians were called to arms. This was the largest ever Romanized force to moblized to march north. Nine Full legions and auxuarllies were assembled at the Legion Camp of York and stockpiled supplies to go north and finish off the Picts and Celts for Ever.

THe King sent his capable Prefect Artroius to lead the Britannian army. However powerful this force was, it was dwarfed by mighty Rome's legions.

11 Legions the largest Roman legion group ever have been sent to the Britannian expedition. This force of men along with auxuraliies will surely defeat the Picts and Celts.

Orders:
25 000 garrison the home isle
Begin a Trade Route with Rome
Increase Economy by charging small tolls on the roads
50 000 men plus the Romans march north into Pictland. There they will attempt to bring the Picts to battle and crush them.
If they cannot bring them to battle then construct legioniary forts to hold the country. Any Pict or Celt found will be killed on the spot or enslaved.
Begin Wonder: Port of Londium(+2 economy, and increased Naval techonlogly as well as improving the flow of trade through Londium

We repeat our threat to the Visigoths, end your expansion or face the wrath of the Kingdom of God on Earth. If you do not reply to our message, we will assume you refuse our demands.

To Egypt:

We commend your good faith in ending the persecution of non-Christians.

War in the Crimea?

The Emperor Alexander, with the Archbishop's blessing, has called on God's most faithful to defend the Empire's lands against the barbarian Visigoths.
It seems Alexander will put off an invasion until the Visigoths reply, but an invasion does seem likely.

What the Visigoths may do us if we do not stop them.

In the name of God, we march...

To Ostrogoths:

Do not pursue an alliance with the Visigoths as they are Hellenes' enemy. We are about to take action against them; we do not want the same to happen to you.

Abyssinia was a young nation, as far as it being unified. The new Chief, Salokokai, had a plan of action to bring glory and culture to a kingdom with neither.

His first action was to get rid of the title of Chief, and change it to King. Salokokai wanted much more religion involved in his Kingdom. The indigenous peoples that still roamed around the land, uncivilized and knowing nothing of modern culture. "I must help them see the light of God", he said, as he approved his grand shrine project to be built in the capital city.

The plan was underway.

Diplomacy

To: Nubia
From: Abyssinia

We would like to ally with your nation, we seem to be alike in many ways.

Orders
-increase army size
-increase education

-begin wonder, Shrine of Axum (turns the other to christian and unites Abyssinia as a christian nation, +1 culture)

Is it possible to send missionaries elsewhere and convert a country's popualtion to our religion? And what would the effects be?

You can try. I've left things pretty open-ended. Remember, you can order something done with an economy as well, which will greatly increase its effectiveness.
