Well well ... I fear I have to admit that I fiddled around with the .cpp without having backups. Although I just tried to get some insight into game-mechanics, somehow I must have altered the files while browsing through them.
Now I am trying to deliberately alter a few things, but I am unable to get a working .dll compiled. I am not fully sure, but I fear the reason is the one above mentioned.
So I am asking kindly if there is any nice person who could send me the CyPlayerInterface2.cpp (BTS) please, hoping that this would resolve my problem.

I recommend making a copy of the mod as you have it right now. Save it someplace safe. Then reinstall and updated Civ IV. That will restore any stuff that may have broken. A pain, but it will give you a totally fresh copy of all the code.

Humm, true spoken (about the pain ), but I assume your recommendation is indeed the best idea. Thanks for the idea. Although it's simplecity is outstanding, I did not come up with that idea on my own *bonk self*

No problem. I am only familiar with it because of the number of times I have accidentally dropped something in the wrong folder and broken the whole game...
