I was actually looking for Great Wonders for Darokin last night, I saw two Possibilities

1. Great Wall Of Darokin -Large wall to keep the humonoids out of darokin for more info check out the VATERMONT 6, AC 1014 entry in the Mystaran almanac:

http://www.dnd.starflung.com/1014vat.html

2. DDC - Darokin Diplomatic Core - The members of the Darokin Diplomatic Core, one of the most important and pervasive parts of the government, act as mediators, diplomats, judges and as intelligence agents.

Another Wonder (for Glantri and the ShadowElfs) is the Radiance of the Spheres.. I'll try and get sopme more information on this tonight....

Master of promises returns.

Bronze and copper dragons. Suggestions are again welcome. I am willing to finetune these more so speak up! :)

I may be quite far from the idea, but as I think about copper and bronze dragon, I cannot think anything else than the metals

Here is attached a picture of a few metal balls I did. One bronze and one copper.

Now, the parts that are in the shade differ very much from the parts that are lighted...
I'd say, that the dark parts should be quite a lot darker, and the light parts... well, I suppose they should be darker too.

Btw, can you use the colours used in the palette of this image?
I hope I'm not too annoying... :mischief:

[edit]
I added individual pcx-files, so that the palettes (if you can work with them) are easier to handle
Pcx-files

Those look great Drift, and thanks aaglo for your help. To be honest I thought you would never pop up on this thread. Much to my delight you have. :)

The wonders sound great Crush_99 as the Wall idea is perfect since a majority of the barbarians will be humanoids. as far as the diplomatic core, that may be more represented by an elite spy network which can be added to their specific Government. I wouldn't know how else to use it. As much as I'd like to make it a Wonder. I look into what wonders can do and see what I find. :goodjob:

I remember the Great School of Magic for Glantri and was trying to remember that, I haven't read all of my Gazatteer of Glantri as I just got it a few weeks ago. :) It might be perfect to act like the Great Library does with a boost to research as well.

I'll see what I can do with those metal balls. :) I'll post some progress shots later tod... umm... later.

A few ideas, tjedge:

Great Wonders

Glantri - the School of Magic, obviously, but somehow you should include the concept of the Nucleus of the Spheres. It's central to Glantri. No Nucleus, no Glantri. Whether you do it as a resource that is only in one spot or a wonder, it ought to be represented somehow.

Thyatis - The Arena.

Ylaruam - there's a big university in Ylaruam, can't remember the name of it but it is fairly important, or you could do a Wonder based on Ylaruam's history the way they do Darwin's Voyage in the normal version of the game, I have the book and will look more into it if you like.

Alfheim - Tree of Life

Five Shires - the Blackflame

Minrothad - I'm not sure what it's called but the sea elves have some clan relic similar to the Tree of Life but not the same thing. I'll look this up too and post it later.

Unique Units

Ethengar - the Ethengar use mounted archers almost exclusively, they are have a very powerful army.

Glantri - a Wizard? There's nothing really unique about Glantri's army per se.

Darokin - Uses very fast, lightly armoured troops. I would think some kind of elite cavalry or fast, advanced foot troops would be appropriate. The way the army is described it sounds like a Renaissance type army with alot of pikemen, light armour but still a steel breastplate, rapiers, etc. You might not be too bad off just giving them a musketeer, although that's not part of the official material, for the purposes of the game it doesn't go against the 'flavour' of Darokin.

Minrothad - the Clipper Ship.

Thyatis - The elite of the Thyatian military is the Air Fleet of Retebius, which ride all sorts of flying mounts, primarily Griffons. This is supposedly the largest and most powerful of all the "air forces" in Mystara, it just doesn't have as much range as the countries with airships.

Minrothad - the Minroth Clippership. Very very fast.

Ierendi - the Steamship. Slow, but easily the most powerful seagoing vessels in Mystara.

Northern Reaches - Longships maybe or Berserkers, something with a Viking flavour

Karameikos - the elite military of the Grand Duchy is the Elvenguard.

Shadowelves - the elite military of the Shadowelves are Skinwing Riders (sort of like pterodactyls)

Orcs of Thar - obviously, orcs, but you might want to include War Machines as well. These are big siege platforms, mounted with catapults and a ram and ballistae etc.

I'll get back to you with more when I have time to look it up.

Btw, what versions of civ3 will this work with? I don't have Conquests.

Those are really good ideas and I'll use most of them thanks.
Some of these I knew of, but couldn't remember the names, others I wasn't aware of, but this will be good. Keep up the great work, thanks.

I'm sorry to tell you this will be for Conquests. There's too much added in Conquests to pass up the chance to make this mod more complex and diverse. Not to mention more terrain than earlier versions of Civ3.

I have a slight problem on my Leaderheads. I need new PCX files of leaderheads and civilopedia icons for Yavdlom. The ones in that came with the Leaderhead are for more industrial period and is too obvious to get around like I did with the one for Tanagoro.

Which file would someone need to make new PCX's if I made a request for them. Could I just upload the fwrd flic for the era I needed the PCX in? Anyone know?

I could do them myself, but they won't be very good at all.

I believe it's called 'The Pearl of Power', a large pearl that serves as their clan relic, but it is an artifact rather than a normal relic like the regular demi-human clans have. It still acts similar though.

Attached is the Ethengar city list

As for possible units the standard Ethengar unit is a 'Tribal Horde' - it consists of Elite Calvery using bows and swords. The gazetterr describes there horses as 'superior' so this should be a fast unit (if used)

A possible Elite Unit is the 'Keshak' - these are the elite warriors of the golden khan, they consist of a Elite Calvery that uses bows and swords or bows and lances. This unit could possibly have a blitz attack?

Possible Great Wonder
Golden Court (or Golden Khan) - The Golden Khan has united all of the Ethengar tribes. He rules from the Court of the Golden Khan a nomadic settlement that moves four times a year.
- possibly this could produce an elite unit (Keshak) every 5 turns?

I was thinking of some other possible Great Wonders, here are a couple:

Alfheim Refugees - AC1007, Fall Fall: Shadow Elves invade, conquer, and settle Alfheim, transmuting the forest and forcing the Alfheim elves to flee north to Wendar and south to Karameikos. (taken from http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Dungeon/2967/timelin3.html)
Possibly this could increase magic research or produce a UU every x turns?

Karameikan Nationhood - Karameikos is a land of two peoples - Thayatian Conquers and Traladaran natives. King Stefan has stried to forge a new National Identity that will unite his people....

Alphatian Refugess - Refugess from the sinking of Alphatia have found a new Great School of Magic in your country.

Very nice, keep 'em comin'. These are great and quite usable. Your on the same track about Ethengar as I was. That was one of my favorite Gazatteers as the Mongols have a special place in my heart. Good work, thanks.

I have to agree Ethengar rocks - I always thought they should of had a much bigger army - a nomadic nation of 330,000 people that can only field 9,000 troops - that number seems a little low.

Guess who I am going to play once this mod comes out
Can't wait to crush some Vikings.

 With an army of horsemen and the only civ with a mounted settler, they could turn out much more serious than in the real Mystara. :cooool:

Figured I'd give an update on civs still needing city lists.

Civs still needing city lists that have gazatteers:
Minrothad Guilds
Ostland (Soderfjord can be split between them)
Vestland (Soderfjord can be split between them)
Sind (CoM Box set)
Thyatis
Yavdlom (CoM Box set)

Civs with detailed modules that still need city lists:
Denagoth
Heldann
Hule
Wendar

Civs with little published information. I'm using partly the site mentioned in the bottom of the overview for most of these while others I or someone can make them up. They are the last to worry about as they are also the least completed:
Duargor
Frosthaven
Izonda
Kastelios (the City-States in North Davania)
Kwythellar
Malpheggi
Nithia
Orcland
Tanagoro
Thoth-Ath

I've been a little distracted this week due to work and writing up a sample for Wizards of the Coast, so bear with me on the Overview falling a little behind. Thanks for all the help so far guys, I really appriciate it. :wavey:

P.S.- 1500th POST!

I feel like I'm talking to myself lately. Anyway, that never stopped me before.

@Arghis: I saw this thread and thought it looked nice. If you like it or think it will fit it will be fine with me. New Flood Plains

Just letting you know that I haven't given up on those dragons. I've just been busy and now I'm going on a holiday. I'll get back to them in a week or so. :)

Not at all, I read everything you write, i've just got too many RL issues to be of any help right now, sorry. I hope to get the Thyatis list done this weekend, and I'll try to find some wonder/unit/leader suggestions too.
