Atruaghin is done. I only had about 50 names using the material in the book. Since all of the city (tribe) names are derived from animal names (i.e Wolf Tribe, Fox Tribe etc..) I created 12 more
off of the top of my head - about 62 names total...

Cool. One of the greatest things about D&D is the ability to use your own ideas. Looks good to me. :)

tjedge1,
any other information you would like out of the gazeteers (like special unit ideas, wonder ideas etc...).

I could use Great Wonders. I was planning on having certain great Wonders for certain civs and a few that would be buildable by all. I alraedy have Improvements and the Small Wonders figured out, but I haven't thought much on Great Wonders. Any ideas there would be great. If there is any unique units for a civ on the list that would be good to know as well. I need to decide which units will be UU's.

Not sure what you need so I just spit out a bunch of information.

Here are a couple of possible wonders taken from the Artuaghin Gazetter:

The World Elevator:
In the center of the territory ruled by the Bear Clans, a mighty wooden machine has been built. Stretching from the top of the plateau to the foreests below, this device is the mighty elevator designed to allow access to the top of the Atruaghin Plateau.
This device was designed and built by the Repiublic of Darokin in exchange for the exclusive rights to trade in various commodities produced by the Artuaghin Clans. It consists of a pair of solid wooden platforms, each large enough to hold three large wagons and their teams, linked together by a long steel chain. When cargo is to be raised or lowered, a counterweight is placed on the other end of the platform that roughly balances the cargo. A crank atop the plateau is turned and with the weights being roughly equal. The transeference is made with little difficulty.

Artuaghin Mystic Conveyor
This device will transport up to 10 people to the hollow world - the device as shown behaves like a modern day elevator.

As for units, Shamani (aka Shamans) have a large amount of power in this society so that is a potential unique unit.

Some of the different tribes also have posisble unique units:
Children of the Horse - Mounted lancers (no armour)
Children of the Elk - Skirmishers handaxe and shortbow
Children of the Turtle - Leather armour and spears have large sea going canoes.
Children of the Tiger - think aztecs - metal armour and weapons + poison

That's exactly what I wanted. I can sift through your ideas for what I need, since it's easier for me that way than trying to post every thing I've done or imagined on the forum. Though that could double my posts :hmm:. My wife would kill me for spending that much time on the pc so...

The World Eleveator will be a good Commercial Wonder. I might be able to use the other, but not sure yet as to what I can do with it in the mod. Shaman sounds good for a UU. They may be the only civ with a shaman instead of a mage, cleric, druid, wiccan etc. I'm only going to make 1 or 2 UU's per civ. Atruaghin will have 1 with the shaman as it will not be upgradable but dangerous to enemies. Any civ with an upgradable UU will have a 2nd in the later ages.

Those other units sound good, I was a little stumped on this civ so now I have an idea I can work on now. :goodjob: Thanks.

What were the dragons you wanted? Bronze and silver, but was there also a brass dragon? Bronze and silver I can do, but doesn't brass look a lot like gold?

edit: copper was one too, right?

Bronze and Silver for sure. Copper and Brass aren't really necessary, though I would like them if they don't look too much like the other colors. Like Brass for instance, may be a little darker, but if it still doesn't look seperate enough from the Gold one then don't worry about it. Thanks Drift. :)

Here's a progress shot of bronze, copper and silver dragons.

I'm not touchy so if anyone feels colors are wrong, speak up. That's the reason I post this. :)

You mean the blue? Can't help it. It's civ color and I don't want to get rid of it. Besides, it's a bit too much work as it can't be done by simply loading up a new palette.

I think they look great. The Copper and Bronze look very similiar, but there's not much to do about that. I don't know how to change that without changing their color too much. So I guess unless anyone else has any pointers they will do.

Those are nice, Drift
But the bronze and copper dragons look very alike - the problem isn't your colouring (it's the colours of copper and bronze).
Perhaps, if you just add some yellow tone to the bronze (the less-red) one ... just a bit closer to pale gold... Now it looks like it's flesh ;) but I don't know if changing that palette is a problem :)

Oh yes, I think the highlights (lighter parts) on bronze and copper are a bit too light... or are they? So, what do you think, should those both dragons be a bit darker? (Silver is just perfect as it is now  )

They are a bit light and bronze does look a bit too much like skin. Changing the colors is no trouble at all. I've gone through a lot of different variations already.

I'll post some progress shots later today.

Quite the contrary, it's quite early. You should know, we are on the same time zone - it's morning out there!

I'll do it today. A bit later.

I'll say! I'm in a different timezone than you guys and according to my timezone you posted those last poasts between 2am and 3am.=What I was doing at that time.

I'm still lacking on Great Wonder ideas for the mod if anyone has any ideas. I am going to use some of the Wonders form the original game for those that are available by all civs. Any idea on Civ-specific or Cultural specific Wonders? What about the Merchants Guild in Darokin? Any thing else that has a major impact on any civ you can think of?
