added two concepts that woudl be prudent for you-all to take a little gander at in my thread of unit requests and concepts and such

@odintheking: Drolems are a magically created Dragon. Like a golem, hence the name. They are brown in color usually. I'll use the dragons icon if this one is too much trouble.

@Xen: Those orcs look cool, I hope someone can make them. The warchief would make a good Thar king unit.

whats a thar?

Thar is the king of the orcs of the Broken Lands. He's the most influential orc of the modern era of Mystara. His empire takes a pounding form the Immortals in the Wrath of Immortals and he attempts to have his kingdom annexed with Glantri. He is smart and strategic and that is why he has been able to build a kingdom of humanoids in the midst of human kingdoms. THere was a picture of him floating around the War Hammer or Goblin leader head threads. He sat on a throne and was huge and green skinned. Much more intimidating than Dork Red-eye of War Hammer who is a goblin.

@odintheking: I'll see if I can find one. All I have on paper is descriptions. I'm sure theere's one floating on the net.

I found the same thing for the Drolem. One idea is that you could just use a dragon picture and paint the dragon brown or find a pic of a brown dragon. Or anything that looks remotely like that. Drolems look like dragons anyway, they are just constructed and obey all commands given them by their master. You might have seen that in your search already. Otherwise just use that grave scene.

Thanks for the Treants.

Nice Arghis. I was wondering how far along you were. I'm just organizing unit graphix and sounds still. That will take a while longer than planned, but since I'm working more on the mod daily with my new laptop, I think I'm still aiming for November to beta test. The editor is virtually done except for a few minor details. The only things left are the garphix and text. :crazyeye:

This one is about 4 times the size of the WH mod so far, and I wish I could speculate, but there isn't much absolution as to when. I'm shooting for sometime in November. These units are taking forever and I keep adjusting them as I go since new units keep coming out that I can use. I also am hoping my requests are met for the Lizardman and Gnoll musketmen. And I have to update my leaderheads again since there are new ones there too. And still the text files, which I've started but still have quite a ways to go. Well the mod may not be released in November, but the beta should be ready. If you're interested then when I post for beta testors make sure you apply. ;) It will be a closed beta test.

I´m very interested in beta testing; I follow the work of most of the scenarios in these forums.

When it comes time to set up the beta, I will be looking for a good variety of players. Modders, historians, D&D players, and just all around players. With a private thread set up on CDG that will allow beta testors to post, so that the testers posts won't be getting lost with all the compliments and complaints that come with just posting the beta in an open thread. ;)

I was thinking of making it selective, but I'm also in the hopes that the beta testing will be quick so I can release this mod to the open without glitches and a full civilopedia.

Take your time, this mod needs to be top notch both to honnor D&D and to keep up with the high standards set by WH mod 1 and 2.

Being a home-modder and a d&d fan, and having played through almost all the mods posted on CFC, I'de be glad to help you beta test it when your ready.!

Keep up the good work

I hope so. I'm using a lot of graphix from WH, but a few are specific to D&D like Kinboats Gnolls. Possibly some leader heads as well. Arghis has done wonderful witht he terrain and world map so that this mod will have one of the most diverse terrain settings. Of course random maps will have the same old stuff, but the maps will have many more. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement for beta tests in November. I'm nearly done with unit sounds, ini and civlopedia checking. That has taken a month, but there are over 500 unit graphix folders. Once that is done, it will be all downhill. Hopefully.

Don't worry Rhymes, I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I want this to be one of the best fantasy mods ever. I just hope it works.
