To all brave souls who got tired of easy wins!

To all who want improve their gameplay to highest level!

To all who are already comfortable at highest level and want share their experience with us!

Let's play deity! ;)

Disclaimer:
Before posting map here I play it long enough to make sure that it's actually winnable and winnable in many ways, including (but not limited to) peaceful REX, early rush, wonder spam, medieval/renaissance wars, space, culture, etc.

These maps haven't been worldbuilded in any way but conform to the next conditions:

Spoiler :

  • This is not isolation nor semi isolation.

  • Our leader is not marginal one

  • We got nice initial location and surroundings.

  • We got enough room to expand.

  • I like this map! ;)

Map: Fractal, no huts, no events, normal speed.

Leader:

Okay, thanks. What is the rule? Do I play the game and post my progress here?

^^Correct.
There is no particular rule, besides having as much fun as possible ;)

But it would be nice if you share your progress.

I think moving the warrior 1NE might make sense to see if settling next to a river is more desirable. Can you still build a dike if you are not next to a river, but next to a freshwater lake if you settle in place here?

Good point! I think you can't.

@AbsoluteZero Ups sorry. Does anyone know any spyware free file hosting site?

@AbsoluteZero,

I know that sometimes MediaFire and the likes can infect you with spyware, but I always check for them and remove them. Still though, it would be nice to get the upload ability back in this site. I've put my Izzy game on hold until I can upload because I don't want to upload files at MediaFire.

By the way... I am really liking your commentary in your videos... especially when you are bribing AI civs not to trade or to declare war. ^_^

@GKey,

Yeah that's what I thought as well, though I am not exactly sure. I mean... freshwater lake is still a water tile though. At any rate, if you can't build a dike next to a lake, I would definitely think about moving next to a river.

Moving 1SE for production bonus or 1E for more riverside grassland tiles. Though I'm thinking 1E is superior.

Map generator got this annoying habit: instead of extend river 1 more tile it creates lake. I would like to know, why? To piss me off? Mission accomplished!

More importantly, the city is off the coast!

Yep weird. I thought Map Generator can't put you 1 tile of coast.

Have you ever seen a river to just end in middle of nowhere? Obviously there is a lake, mountain, ocean or other stuff at the both ends of a river.

I already have couple games going on right now, but I guess I could give this a change if I manage to play decently on deity with gold.

This river starts there not ends.
Lake or sea have to be only at the end of river. And usually it is so. But if we got city near start of river Map generator tends to create lake for fresh water bonus instead of extend river on one more tile.

well lakes can be in hills. For example Slovakia's Tatry destination (which is popular tourist destination) has plenty of them. We call them here "Pleso".
I don't know if they can serve as source of river (I don't think they can), but you definitely can have lakes in hills ;-).

so we can imagine that that lake 1W of that forested hill is such an lake, so we don't break our immersion!

OTOH it really sucks to not get river and get lake, except for Willem it actually doesn't matter ;-)

Took a quick look, i'll pass sorry :-/
As mentioned, iam a bit tired of the standard size/tech brokering thingi, and WvO is one of those leaders who get played the most so that doesn't help too.

Not cuz it is easy, far from it, i just need a break from that.
The game with Mansa that i put up didn't get much attention, i guess the board is used to play with these settings only, so all i can do is wish you all loads of funsies ;)

@Mylene So small size, no tech brokering, advanced shoes creation it's going to be next time. ;)
