[R&F] Deity Training, Benchmarks and Early Game.

I replayed this map and I won it on immortal! I focused on getting my 12 cities out asap using monumentality, harvest, AH and magnus and getting the districts down fast so I can boost the culture and science trees. I had enough culture and science to develop my empire towards the culture victory however I decided to beeline for bombers and use knights for conquests. I later upgraded to tanks, nukes and stealth. I had 75 cities at the end of it!

I had also won the China game on Emperor, using a similar opening but with an archer and horse rush. I want to try it again on immortal using a Knight rush and focusing on a faster culture victory.

This is the type of result id like to replicate, but I always seem to get bogged down in my management and decision making. I find it very difficult to get knights at a good time even on emperor.

One of the best ways to get Knights at a good time is to conquer someone's city where they have built a lot of farms, to get the Feudalism inspiration leading to the Stirrups eureka. On this map, Lisbon went a long way towards that. I managed turn 85 Stirrups even with a side quest into Iron Working.

This is a great map to make the jump to Deity. Neighbors close enough to get your Writing and Currency inspirations but not so close to forward settle in a problematic way, plenty and varied luxury resources to work and sell, defensible territory, terrain that promises a really high likelihood of Iron which just lets Rome run wild.
