Delta_Strife's Ship Units

Want to know what the down side is to this? Now that you're making a space ship, everyone with a scifi mod will be asking you for stuff. It's bad enough you've got all these navy enthusiasts swarming your thread. I've scared mine off by refusing to ever to do any space ships for that reason.

Even worse, you might get some of us pleading for more futuristic seagoing warships ...

Hi, Delta. Thanks for so many awesome ships released or in making :hammers:.

I just wonder are there any modern auxiliary/supporting ships, say, Landing Platform/Dock (LPD) ships in your plan ?

Not a request. :)

Good News Everyone!

You may or may not have noticed recently that I have not been around much. The reason for this is my company recently appointed a new CEO to come in and shake things up in a huge way. So naturally everyone was super stressed about keeping their job and I was one of them. In the end I get to keep my job and enjoy more success.

What does that mean for ship building? Well during the last two weeks I could not focus on ships due to the stress of work. Now that is over I can return to ship making albeit at a slower pace just due to the new work load that has been created. Also, happened to mention this hobby to the new boss and he has asked to model the warship his grandfather served on in WWII so his request come first ;). After that is done back to American fleet for El Justo.

Cheers,
Delta

Good to hear. I've been buried in work myself. So what ship are we talking about? Canadian vessel, I guess?

Sounds like your boss just wants to wet his beak a little, nothing wrong with that. That said staying in the good graces of the big cheese ain't a half bad idea.

Erm, lad, do you know what 'to wet your beak' means?

The phrase "to get your beak wet" means to have a sample of something, to muscle in on someone else's action. To take a piece of the pie.
:yup:
Office Politics - politics in general - is rife with situations where the new guy asserts his authority by laying waste & keeping the juicy bits for himself.

Delta_Strife, this is good news. :)

I think we should keep the discussion here very polite in case Delta_Strife´s CEO will read these passages.

So back to the question about the warship CEO´s grandfather served on in WWII. I also think this could be a Canadian ship. As the grandfather did survive (this is inspiration based on the formulation of Delta_Strife´s post), the chances are bigger for a Canadian ship that survived WWII. I hope he served on H.M.C.S. Uganda, as I could need that ship. :) That Light Cruiser was presented to the R.C.N. on October 21, 1944, and claims the distinction of having been the first ship in that service to sail round Cape Horn.

May be the grandfather is on one of the pictures of the following site: http://www.forposterityssake.ca/Navy/HMCS_QUEBEC_C66.htm

No worries never told him I was on this website. His Grandfather served on E Class Light Cruiser and did not survive the war.

An E Class Light Cruiser is also very nice. :)

Delta do you take any request for a naval units made of timber? I mean I could model it and send it to you to do an animation and palette.

Just curious: What are you looking for? There are quite a few already (although not so many of Delta Strife's quality ;) )

Best,

:scan:z
