Here's one. How the hell do you play Demogames? Is it just a giant PBEM?

Yep, between 4 civs, which are controlled by a huge group of people each.

The "Demo" part is short for "democracy". Everybody on a team gets a say in how a turn should be played (if they feel like making suggestions).

Most teams are more formally organized than we are, having elections for offices like Prez, Foreign Minister, Turnplayer, etc. Each team has their own way of doing it and probably has terms of office, like maybe 25 turns, or whatever.

That's why we refer to ourselves as an Anarchy. Whomp is sorta our leader, since he had a big part in getting the game organized and inviting people to join, but we've never had an actual election for anything...he's our Prez because we love him. :) Sometimes we've posted polls for people to vote for a preference, but more often it's just informal discussions and a LOT of spam. :D The people who do most of the work around here are those who are willing, and the rest of us just sit back and make inane comments. :p

Sounds like my kind of group.

*Sits back and make inane comment*

Down with TNT.. or MIA... or whoever the hell we are (or are not) at war with!

[badjoke] We are blowing up TNT! :p  [/badjoke]

Keep it up, guys! BTW, are we planning on keeping Axima(sp?), the one with MoM? :)

How the hell do you play Demogames?
you don't. we tried. it's a bunch of people arguing over rules. period.
Is it just a giant PBEM?

That's soooooooooo right on target

ouch that cut deep...

He needs a few days to get the hang of it. Right now he's still getting all of that sissy crying out of his system. After he finishes with that I'll start training him in earnest. mine the cow right off of the bat and mine the wheat too. I'm not sure where the pop-rushing settlers came from. I don't remember doing that too often.

At this early stage in E-Train's Civ development expect the need for entertainers early and often. It's best if they look like Dora the Explorer or the Backyardigans. Trust me, it is easy to confuse 'sissy crying' for actual civil unrest.

As long as Barnie is not incorporated, I'll be fine. Ana really loves Arthur now. Her other favorites are Dora, Diego, and the Backyardigans. She also loves to dress me up with her princess clothes which I hope doesn't repeat itself

I think I would start getting the Ethan Allen starter kit right now just to hedge against this possibility. You know, buckskin coat, musket, "Don't Tread On Me" flag, an "I Hate NY" tee-shirt and a tactical map of Montreal to get the invasion right this time.

I'm not saying if you don't do this that you will be dressed up in princess apperal in the future, but...

You guys worried about E-train? Not possible. He'll be a big Thomas the 0-6-0 tank engine guy. I know. Thomas is a cheeky, fussy little engine just like E-train.

Now on the other hand, he'll probably have his dad act as Annie and Clarabelle.

Tubs you gonna cheat at Monopoly like Butterball did? I say don't. I'm scarred from those days even now. :scared:

I'm a lil concerned about the intel Nutters sends us regarding TnT troops and strength. We've heared a lot about "probably their whole army that you see" and "their capitol undefended". I'm not saying Nut's and TnT are in bed together, just that Nut's may be taking the opportunity to indirectly decimate us on their home turf.

After the loss of seven units between 146 and 147, I think you are spot on. What do we do about it?

I'm no military expert, but what I would do is:
1. Assume Nutters are giving us underestimations of TnT strength.
2. Pillage like crazy while retreating.
3. Connect and rax Dynopolis.
4. Assemble units there and up all the pikes.
5. Spread settlers along the coast guarded by one musket each.
6. Have a single SoD walk over Persia.
