Maybe they haven't lost their sense of humor.

I'm not following. Was there anything on that boat?

Nevermind, I read the turnlog. Now I see the humor.

well if there was just a galley in that city it would have showed up to us last turn. since it sailed out of Grenadopolis, that means that it was just produced. After our turn they won't be able to make any more immortals or pikes :woohoo:

How manny turns left of the negotiated peace w/ MIA?

So reading the tea-leaves we deduce that another civ has Chivalry. If it's MIA then my first thought would be to suspect that it's a precursor to upgrading knights to cavalry.

IIRC our peace started turn 116 or 117 so we still have 28 or 29 more turns left for peace.

We'll have 9 LB's and 1 GS to attack that town, since they didn't even hit Bugsy's Blade (which seems a bit odd as they did have a 3/4 Immortal available).

A little pre-turn visual. A regular pike, another slave and high probability of no more TNT iron. There's also a little TNT curragh roaming around on our western coast. We are up spices, wines and dyes lux wise plus 'powder, theo and monarchy techwise.

I see we're pre-building in the capital since a colloseum is due next. We need to finalize which wonder we want the most. Leo's is 16 turns and pyramids are 10 turns(both GA enhanced). I doubt we'd consider both but Dunderhead also has the potential to finish the pyramids in 16 and Leo's in 24.

How many coastal cities does TNT have left? We may be able to cut off all trade routes with MIA as well. If they don't have any coastal cities, that galley won't be able to get repairs either.

I get the feeling that TNT just gave up. They didn't run their worker to safety. They didn't attack Bugsy's Blade. They make a fruitless attack on our navy when it is already too late. They haven't pulled their pickets back when they desparately need them defending cities. Nothing makes sense... unless they are throwing in the towel.

BTW - Let's keep that city. At least for a while. A nice jumping off point towards Carpetbomb.

Bugs because of pbem mechanics I think the worker was stuck in his spot due to the surprise. IIRC Carpetbomb was the only other coastal on the map and their galley can get back to Carpetbomb to hide. I'm also curious why they didn't go after Bugsy's Blade unless they felt another stack was headed to Unabomb and didn't want to chase strays.

Sorry bugs, looks like I played too soon and razed the town
@G-man: Nicely done! :salute: Did you at least remember to pillage before you burned the town? :hatsoff:

It looks like TnT is robbing from Peter to pay Paul. They emptied Carpetbomb to defend Grenadapolis.

I still haven't heard anything from our allies. Donuts need to give us a little intel. We need to provide a lot to them in return. What kind of troop strength and types? What types of tactics are they seeing?

I have a feeling TnT is gassed except for that stack that was in Unabomb. How soon until we can march on Unabomb again?

We also need to prepare for a land grab. Let's keep all the cities from now on. That will be fewer settlers we'll need.

I chatted with Killercane while playing (he wanted to know what XCom was  ) He said they would have Edu this turn (maybe). I forgot to ask him what they were doing for the war because I had to give the kids a bath and didn't have time

Well done Graham!

The marines did very well. They sent this after-action report...

Booti - You are a sick puppy. Are you saying TnT just laid there and took it. OK, well that's accurate. Are you saying we kicked their wimpy little seal butts? OK, well that's accurate too. :hmm: Never mind.

What's next? They'll have to spread out their forces now, with two stacks close to two of their cities. They'll probably give up another town though.

Their main contingent in the north probably spent the last turn healing in the town in front of our stack. Depending on how quickly that stack heals (and on whether or not TNT auto-razes another undefended town) G-man has two nice options when it comes back around to us:
  • He can send the amphibious task force down the coast while our stack heals...
  • He can send the amphibious task force towards the center...which is now set up rather beautifully for some "hammer and anvil" operations.

I'd like to raze carpetbomb, as it's a size 8 city and giving them lots of support. After that, we make a judgement based on remaining forces whether or not we press to the center or jump back in the boats and join up with the units around Spite.
