Desert Island Discs

Desert Island Discs have been going since 1942, it is the third longest running radio program in the world (after The Daily Service [1928] and A Week in Westminster [1929]). The premise is that you are stuck on a desert island (hence the title). You get the complete works of Shakespeare and the Bible whether you like it or not. You have to choose eight pieces of music, a book and a luxury item (which must be inanimate and have no practical use) to take with you. So what would you choose?

Well, the eight pieces of music need to cover every mood you expect to find yourself in while standed on that island.

A bed is a good one! Why is not allowed?

I would probably go with something that has multiple uses...
