Apologies for the ridiculous delay here - people are dropping out of both my SGs like flies and I'd lost track of whose turn it was. How do we always manage to get me up in both at the same time?
Anyway, off we go:
IHT (500 AD):
When did the Indians found Karachi? Missed that one. I count 26 units and 6 cities, so we need at least another two before we can take London. I'd also like to get some defence in Sparta - a single Warrior is not going to cut it
530 AD (T3):
We're moving toward London with a number of units. Not a lot else is going on - I trade Bananas to Hatty for 4 gpt, might be a little generous but should improve realtions further.
570 AD (T7): Whip library in Hastings. Research complete on Metal Casting - forges here we come. I start Music on the grounds that nobody has it yet, and bump up research. Could be a mistake, though - feel free to shout at me!
580 AD (T8): We have enough units to take London, so I attack. We lose a swordsman in the battle (which was unlucky) but capture the city and its two workers. Neat!
590 AD (T9): We have some highly experienced units here, which is very nice. I realise that I was technically in breach of the variant rules for a second there by not having any cities building units. Correct this by switching Athens' forge to Axeman.
600 AD (T10): Cyrus nets Music and its free Great Artist - what on earth was I thinking? Feel free to switch research, Till.
