I didn't give much detail on a couple points in my account:
-I disbanded a very small amount of units, just to rush a few courthouses up north.
-Privateers are almost as good as Frigates, they're cheaper, and just as fast. We can build up a sizable fleet and destroy anything those silly other-continenters try to send as far as exploration, thus monopolizing maps for as long as we wish. And remember, out of every three we destroy, we get a new addition to the fleet. In my experience this covers for a nice chunk of the losses once you have a big enough fleet. I once used Privateers until Destroyers started showing up, and to great effect.
-Most of the other civs have about the same amount of cities, except for the Celts who have more and the Vikings who have only two. They most also have luxuries, even though I mentioned them in just one or two cases. We cannot trade yet, prolly cause of lack of technology, can't remember why if not that.
