DGIT # 2-Krafty Koreans

Playing my Turns now guys :D

Look, I've been using Communism quite often since I got C3C (including my current solo game) and we should not have any problem building ship parts... No problem at all. As long as we have a few cities partially surrounded by hills and mountains - and we do - we will do just fine.

:D Yes, Comrade Blasphemous. Okay, you have the experience, so we'll defer to your knowledge.:worship:

Alrighty then. Let's get those high shield cities scoped out and lets build us a spaceship! :thumbsup:

I've been communist one time, on "The Bay" map that came with Civ3 Game of the YEar Edition. I was Persia, and I had conquered the entire hemisphere and a portion of the other hemiphere. :-D

So, I "don't know Jack" about communism. From what I understand. all of your corruption is averaged together and that amount is the corruption per city you get..

No, we can't wait on courthouse or police stations in communisum. Every scrap of it goes into a giant pot, where every one gets a little helping, even the capitol. If we build a courthouse, and a police station in every city, we'll have very small amounts to worry about...

The OCN I got was taking a base 28 because of the map size, and using this Multiplier I found floating around somewhere, which said we should be around 32, 33 cities, in communisum, with a courthouse in all the cities.

Every since I knew we were planning on going communisum on this game, I switch a few of my modern day save games I have piled up to communisum, as well as playing an epic or two from scratch using communisum. Now I'll admit things build much faster with democracy because you can buy-rush things, but I tell you now, we'll have 50 cities making Modern Armor in 10 turns or less, as oppossed to 5 cities making them in 5 turns or less... I haven't gone space race yet though, so I'll have to differ to Blas on this one.

BTW - When I finish my next game, I'm gonna be starting something called Race Wars. An SG that will play all the known civs on C3C.;) Sounds like alot, and was thinking to make a few SGs at once... I've always wondered what the best overall tribe was.

I don't think there is a best tribe overall, but Ision has written articles on various civs in the strategy forum. My favorite civ overall is probably France -- commerical and industrious make them an idea builder's civ.

I've not had time to noticed the strength of the agricultural trait...only played one game as an agri. civ, Sumer...however, I think playing as the Iroquios might be interesting.

It's true that we will need alot of Courthouses and Police Stations, but we will have enough time for that with all our cities being relatively productive between our switch and the beginning of the space race itself... Especially since we plan to beeline directly to Communism, so we'll have to spend a bit of time catching up on the other early industrious techs...

Pre - Turn: Looks as if our road network is coming along nicely :goodjob:

We are 4 turns from theory of gravity, but can't increase science anymore, and we are making a healyth 66 gold per turn.

One thing to note, there is a small area to the north, just south of the remaining mongol and byzantine cities which has not been settled, i would expect the ai to try and colonise this area as a priority, so a close

eye should be kept on our rivals, just in case they try to sneak settlers out.

We are not quite tech leaders, there are two civs with technology we don't have, these are the celts and the spanish.

Brennus is up Navigation, and isabella is up music theory and navigation.

Intrestingly japan are still in the AA!!:rotfl:

Turn 1 1430 AD: Ur: Courthouse -> Library.
P'yonyang: Privateer -> Privateer.
Kish gets entertainer, set to temple to stop unhappiness.
Many Worker moves, seems there are still a fair number of units on gotos.

Turn 2 1435 AD: Taejon: Worker -> Bank.
Manpo: Aqueduct -> Courthouse.
Kaesong: University -> Marketplace.
Suwon: Temple -> Worker.

Turn 3 1440 AD: Ent for Lagash, we need MP, before we go commie, we will have to make sure wehave only 2 - 3 units per city for MP, so we dont have to worry about most of our happiness problems.

Atlanta: Musket -> Bank.
Erech: Musket-> Courthouse.

Turn 4 1445 AD: Welcome to the Industrial age people!! [party] Nationalism is our fee tech!! [party]:beer::sheep:

Research set to communism, due in 13.
Pyonyang: Privateer -> Privateer.
Cheju: Courthouse -> Bank.
Almarikh: Harbour -> Courthouse.
Bufffalo: Privateer -> Courthouse.

Turn 5 1450 AD: Washington: Cathedral -> Bank.
Inchon: Rifleman -> Rifleman.

Turn 6 1455 AD: just worker moves and gotos.

Turn 7 1460 AD: The mongols want an MPP :rotfl: get lost.

worker turns and gotos.

Turn 8 1465 AD: Wonsan: Bank -> Rifleman.
Umma: Rifle -> Temple.
Seattle: Bank -> Rifle.
Pyongsong: Court -> Bank.
Agade: Library -> Court.

trade for the celts world map, we can see the whole of the other major continent, this was the only one i could get for just map for map trade.

Turn 9 1470 AD: Ur: Library -> Bank.
Sumer: harbour -> court.
Lagash: Rifle -> Court.
Nam'po Bank -> Rifle.
Hyangsang: Harbour -> Court.
Paegem: Rifle -> Bank.
Miami: rifle -> Bank.
Isin: Library -> courthouse, assign Policeman to get jo done quicker.

Turn 10 1475 AD: Cesearea: Library -> Temple.
Akshak: Library -> Courthouse.
zabalam: Library -> Courthouse.

Overall, a very peaceful set of turns, most cities should have either built or be building courthouses, and if they already had them they should be building infrastructure.

Good Luck next player.

Ach, I usually refrain from selling away my world/territory maps until it's absolutely necessary... Don't like to give the ai too much info... Oh well, having nothing else to complain about, good job. :goodjob:

:goodjob: Nice set of turns. A good builder set. The trade to Persia had to be done. And the cost sounds about right. We have a huge empire. And I'm not concerned about the map trades at this point. I say use 'em. The map trade basically ends most exploration. Pre C3C, I often withheld map, because much was unexplored so it was necessary to protect land not settled yet. But post-C3C, with map trading coming so late, and usually all land being settled, it doesn't seem as important to keep ones maps undisclosed.

Nationalism. That's a great free tech pick up! Very valuable. Hopefully the AI picks up some of the other techs so we can use a Nationalism trade to pick them all up.

I take it we are still building that palace. With Communism so close to being available, what else can we build with the shields we've compiled without wasting too many? Its seems a waste to continue to re-build the palace if we are going to be in Communism soon.

Any chance of getting some pics of the new world?

Pictures coming right up, may be a fair few though to show everything.

Will try later, for some reason its being very slow to upload.

IIRC distance from the nearest capital still slightly affects communal corruption, so leave it be... Anyway, do we really wanna waste our zero-corruption Palace on a city with TUNDRA in radius?! =\

Well, we could always build the SPHQ if we want to keep the palace the same... Boston isn't very helpful as a palace move I think. And in communisum distance corruption isn't as important... not enough to keep build the palace.

Suwon is defened by a SLAVE WORKER!?!

Celts have alot of luxuries around, and Persia has Gems. If we could get those luxuries, things would be a lot better back home.;)

Love that northern wall of Knights you have there SK!;) Looks like Mongolia and Byz are done for now. Should we get rid of them before they met the world and tell how nasty we can be, or shall we keep them to help with researching?

And poor Ragnar... He has a full 2 cities... no wonder he's in the AA. Someone should put him out of his misery.:p We made alot of new contacts, but still no Embassies with them. Might be worth the investment.

Chenju is our science city. And it can build Newton's in 15 turns, with changing a worker from a plains to one on a forrest. THAT will be worth the investment. We should change that bank to Newtons ASAP.

Ummm... why is here a worker cutting the forrest down in Boston? It's building a palace... will just be wasted worer turns.

These cities can be set up to build a worker a turn, and stay at size 11:

Seoul (nothing to build after courthouse)
Hyangsan (Courthouse, can switch after that)
Atlanta (On Bank, could build colo, but doesn't need)
Namp'o (Is a military building city, but not very good at it)
Wonson (Is building military as well, much better at it - 20 shields PT)
Washington (Building bank can switch after)

I think we should switch all those but Wonson and maybe Namp'o to workers. They will produce a worker a turn, and pretty much never shrink.

RR is coming, very very soon, and we should get our workers grouped up to make sure we can RR quickly. We'll need ALOT more then we have, and 5 a turn will help extremely. The only thing I could see to let them go for would be a police station... good of the Empire, and all that.

Hope SK doesn't mind, but here's a little screen shot for y'all that has that northern front that SK set up... I LOVE doing that to the AI.;)
