DGIT # 2-Krafty Koreans

Until we're half an age ahead in the techs, we should encourage the free exchange of ideas... once we get that domination of science, we can worry about war. Now all we should be doing worrying about our own civ, and that we reach space. Forget what the other contient is doing. Until we see a few ships come sailing our way we should only build things that reduce corruption and help science. The only time military should be created at this point is to get 3 MPs per a city so we can loose a few luxuries. WHY worry about what is going on over on the other contient? We cleared ours so we can build our spaceship in peace... Don't loose site of that, even if we're a jugernaut of a war machine.

I say, the second we get Combustion we start building a freakin' huge fleet, then as we move along include a huge amount of Carriers and Bomber*3+Fighter teams, and then just destroy anything the fools try and throw at us. Once we can, we should also get a load of ICBMs and Tacs on N. Subs (which should be kept in our regular stacks due to sub bug. )...

Well, we don't want to upset the unbalance of power, which is in our favor.. ;)

All I want is to protect that imbalance by further tipping the scales in our favour... A solid fleet could make sure that nothing they try and send at us will ever be able to delay our spaceship...
Btw, we may want to relocate the Palace to a safer location. Remember, if they capture the Palace they destroy our spaceship... Since Palace location isn't that essentail corruption-wise anymore, we should just choose a good inland city that could benefit well from the zero-corruption, and move the Palace over there... Shouldn't be too tough with the tiny corruption levels we're seeing right now...

If we have rails, no need to move it, as we can shuffle all of our defenses into the capitol as long asd neededd.

A naval/air force for deterrance is definitely a good idea and should enter into our plans.

As for a palace move. I changed Wonsan onto a palace pre-build for ToE. The palace there would have taken around 45 turns. Let's finish up our ironworks in Chonju and build the palace there. Its inland and with the iron works, the build time should be cut down quite a bit. 45 turns is quite a bit of time to move our palace. Maybe the ToE techs will give us a SGL...

Well, if the Palace is near the sea, they can always just pop by with bombers and block our ways to the capital... Unlikely, I know, but I like to imagine that I'm fighting a worthy foe in my games. :P

Quite right. I think I observed the Celts secretly building some oversized hanger in their lands... Surely they are not thinking of space!

Wow, lots of typos in that earlier post. I was pretty sick (not sure what was going on..bad headache, stomachache, fever, and trembling. o_O)

Man we build up pages pretty damn quick. I;m pretty tired and may have missed it, but who is playing right now? And as far as moving up in difficulty, my preference is to do it one level at a time. Particularly because the jump from Emperor to Monarch(or is it the other way around?) is supposedly pretty brutal.

I would not be opposed to having our next game on the next level up, be a quick 3-4 civ game on a tiny map.

As far as concurrent games, you guys are free to play in as many games as you wish. I only have time for the DGIT games.

Off to bed I go.

Don't worry, you probably didn't miss anything. We just talk too much.

To keep the roster to one per page and to catch Sandrock up...

Yea, i am playing the other half as soon as possible.

Note to those of us playing the SGOTM. We have been placed in a team, but with one other person. I checked his profile, and he just finished the Babylon deity settlers game.
I don't know whether we want someone that experienced in our team, whether we should ask the organisers to move him or not? Whats your take on this. My thought is that we play as just us, at least that is what i would prefer. He might enjoy it more too if he were in a team which met his normal standard.

Don't know who it is, but they added him to our group for the simple fact that it's an emp class game, and none of us are that good of players.:p I'm glad to have a deity player on our team... I'd follow his advice too.;) I'll probably read that Babylon game now... damn, it was huge if I remember... at least to get his playing style down... I know it has the DGiT name... Just consider him the Trainer.:p I'm sure he knew how it was going to be... take a look at the teams, and you'll see most of them have at least 1 very strong player when the rest of the team is at our level... In face, I'm hoping that MB left our group as complete at it is because he feels that we're good enough we didn't need more then 1 very good player in the mix, instead of just because we asked. We better not get that wooden spoon, so help me God! Well off to read that thread....

Its a monarch game

I was surviving GOTM31 pretty well, but I lost my notes so I stop layin git.

Yeah, SGOTM2 is probably going to be a TDG for us . I think Emperor-level players don't even bother researching, they just trade techs.

Im really sorry, but i have just been handed a 20 page piece of geography work on shopping habits to do.

I can post the save for half my turns, i don't want to keep you all hanging.

My turnlog is last page, but here it is again:

Inherited turn
Ooh lots of fireworks, the people love me (hehe, glad i fired that
luxury buying 'hero' SpikeIt out of a Hw'acha.
Spanish are orange? Well i'll be
Why is our iron works city building a marketplace? I switch to Iron
works, it doesn't have any happiness issues

1580Change some courthouse builds, most of those cities ain't corrupt. Some
of them change to ducts, others temples or cathedrals
Sink Viking galley, notice their tiny empire :)
continue railing.

Whoa, we have 8 iron, 5 horses, 3 salt and 4 coal. Nice, but there is
a central island with more iron, send privateers to sink any other
interested parties

IBT: Izzy tells me to get my frigate out. Sure why not, you'll get yours.

1585 More railing, skim a few workers off some cities

IBT: Holy Moly, Celts declare on Spanish. The only two real contenders on the
other continent are now at war. Should slow tech down, but we don't want the celts
getting too big. Celts take 2 spanish cities.

1590So much railing. Medicine next turn.

IBT: Medicine --> Scientific Method. WOW, only 4 turns. Spaniards take a city back

1595 More railing lol. Sink a celtic caravel and roman galley

IBT: Nothing

1600 Not much either. You got some strange goto orders on privateers spike.

Save

I got it. Oblivion, you left it as Wang Kon.:p No matter. Will probably play it tommorow night. I just played the longest turn log I hope I ever play, and not quiet ready for another one today.
