Diplomacy

Missing Italian orders, so (unless I get them within the next 20 mins or so) the update will come tomorrow morning (GMT).

I now have Italy's orders, but when going to resolve the orders I realize England has a build too, which cubsfan missed to mention. So dl123654, please get me a build order as soon as possible.

Builds 1907 - Order Results:

cubsfan can set a new deadline when he gets back.

Lets shoot for wednesday.

Sorry, but I think that's a bit too soon. Could you please put it to Thursday the 29th?

Thank you!

Only have three orders

So who do we whip?

I still need germany and britian.

Sorry about that, I started a new job this week, but have over a 2 hour commute each way, so I haven't had time for anything. Hopefully next week will be better.

I have a long list of messages to read through sorry for the lack of responses, my orders will be there in a few hours.

Still need one.

Well, you have mine, and dl should have sent his a few hours after his post :hmm:?

cubsfan, I think it's okay if you always mention whose orders you are missing so we can clear up any mistakes more easily.

I have all the orders but can't get J Dip to run. Does anyone no if it vista compatible. I forwarded my orders to Niklas

I have the orders, but before I resolve them I need to ask for your input. One person has made an error in his orders, naming the wrong starting territory for a move. It is totally obvious what the error is, and what he really intended, and I could easily "fix" the issue. But the outcome will have a direct impact on a lot of things. Should I fix it, or should I move on with what the orders say? If it was up to me, I would fix it, since I feel this is a game of strategy and not of spelling. But since I know the outcome, I'm not sure I can make an impartial judgement. What do the rest think - should I fix the error or let it stand?

Please answer before checking your own orders, so that you can make an impartial choice without knowing if it was you or not.

I do not think the game should be influenced by a mere misspell. Even if it were orders that would be very bad for me, I don't care, I think you should just adjudicate it the way you feel is fair.

This is not a tournament or something, so you're free to use your own fair judgement and you don't have to strictly hold on to the rules.

I suggest you ask the person who wrote the order just to clarify what he wants. If he wants the fix then fix it. The one thing I don't like about JDip is you can't mis-write orders on purpose and have them show up in their original format. All JDip gives is [unit] Holds. Purposefully mis-writing orders in a face to face game is an art. The switch to computer judges makes it a lost art. :(

BTW, I didn't intentionally mis-write any orders but if the mistake were mine I'd still like to be able to clarify it. :)

Correct it or let it be clarified - don't want to profit from a misspell.

Although I don't understand at all what donsig tries to tells us... :crazyeye:

Alright, I feel a consensus for letting it be fixed or clarified. In the interest of moving on I'll publish the fixed version, and if that someone meant to miswrite on purpose (highly doubtful) then tell me.
