If it's true I think it's time for MIA to let Donut know we are very friendly on this continent. We are willing to give them the means to their end (UU) if they will help MIA and KISS to ours (slingshot).

This will accomplish a number of things.
1. MIA and KISS can help protract a war on the other continent with war techs.
2. Allow for MIA, Donut and KISS get into a republic or even give Donut a start towards Monarchy.
3. It may put Donut (and possibly TNT) into a despotic GA. A very poor option as well.
4. We can play TNT as the greater fool by feigning help (with MIA's full knowledge)

I think it's time for MIA to play this trump card.

IMO MIA can't catch us....ever. If we can accelerate bad blood overseas this plays perfectly into our hands by slowing everything to a grind overseas and allowing us to expand, expand, expand.

I would leave out the "very" in that, but cooperative, yes. It's good if they don't get to jumpy about Our cont. growing fast and strong. That might lead them to, reluctantly, hold hands w TNT. As Kick pointed out the alledged backstab might be a ploy. Otherwise I agree in everything said. The B scenario is my choise based on info. available.

You can call me paranoid, but to me it seems extremely likely that the whole "backstab" is just a bunch of crap. Hopefully we'll meet tnt real soon, would make it much easier to read the situation.

I think they blew their cover by saying that. Donut commenting this way means they now deal from weakness rather than strength.

They've researched a peaceful path. If they were backstabbed they will be desperate to get war tech deals done with MIA because they aren't getting them from TNT (or else it would show). They are the ones rushed here not us.

Think about it...not getting in a government means delayed economic improvment versus not be able to protect your country. It will be soon enough when we meet TNT and we disseminate the information.

Let's see how desperate Donut is to get war techs. We really could use a discussion with MIA about this very topic. They need to keep a very close eye on Donuts military might numbers.

I was thinking the exact same thing as I read that letter (I don't beleive that TNT backstabbed them), and I was quite pleased to see so many other people were thinking the same thing.

Either way they are not dealing from strength. They've laid their hand and it appears very weak.

BTW Donuts have gained 4 points in the last 4 turns. TNT and MIA have gained 9. (we are +15 :thumbsup:

If I were running D'notia I would be careful about things like talk of "backstabbing". If it were true then they have just laid out a very weak hand as Whomp says. If it were smoke then they are looking for help in the future by trying to predispose us against another opponent, another indication of no points and no support in their hand. Either way they are exposing their weakness against that opponent.

I hope MIA doesn't go for the three for one deal. Dealing from weakness means they must be a little humbler. Sounds like they aren't thinking straight.

It seems official. Donuts are at war. They have philo which makes rushing to get writing for 3 techs really stupid. I suggested trading the 3 military techs they despaately need for writing, philo and the free tech and maybe some promise of not trading any military techs with TNT.

I doubt that TNT has too many immortals maybe 3-4 at most. I wonder if when they did their palace jump if they teleported any immortals to their new capital :hmm:

Can we find out through our channels if TNT is using immortals or archers. Having a Golden Age this early doesn't make sense to me; unless they are dedicated to eliminating their continental opponent.

If that's the case, their research must be suffering.

I think I'm liking the possiblities more and more.

We will be able to see a lot when we meet them too. Whompameter says ETA +- 3 turns.

I don't want to get too excited but two despotic GA's on the other continent could seal both of their fates and MIA simply can't keep up with our growth.

It seems the Whompameter needs a little fine tuning. :cool:

I think it's very simple. We ask a lot of questions and push them towards a path of long drawn out war. I feel if we can trade them down the monarchy path and we can eventually get monarchy from them it's good thing to us. The more government options we have the better.

I think the first thing we'll need to do is gather all intel that is available and let Tubby process it. Power curve and culture information, techs and cities are critical information to have before we open talks. Information is power. Look how much we already have.

I would also recommend taking an aloof attitude if it is Provo.
