Just in case, 100 g on the Sacred Fist. Myself, I think the True Believer has at least a 50-50 chance of winning, but this way I cut my team's prospective losses.
The only lady cackles with glee, seeing all those money put on the table.
Hahaha, all those money on some boisterous windbag, it's - so - fun, haha! And when I bet 50 gold on the True Believer, I get all your money, all to myself! And with my luck, you know who's going to win, too. But never mind that, come one, come all, bet on the Sacred Fist, for surely he will win!
*The Risk Breaker smiles at Lady Luck's assertion. Pulling a small coin from his robe, he flips it in the air and catches it. He opens his hand and gives a pleased laugh*
The Illithid has been mostly ignoring the recent religious debate, whilst sucking on the pink ''Fruit'' he holds in his hands. There are loud, slurping noises. He appears to grumbling under his breath.
'' 'ssssssss..... A creature of evil? 'sssssssss (slurp, slurp) 'ssssssss. Creeature of evil? (slurp)''
Suddenly there is a click, his head twitches and his voice changes.
''The Illithid will stand down as team leader.'' He said, in a meek, timid voice. (Vote renata)
He looks down at the thing in his hands and screams in disgust, flinging it across the street.
''Woe is me,
woe is me,
trapped for all
eternity.''
He looks up at the other contestants.
''Won't someone free me from this terrible beast?
There is another click, the voice is replaced with the sly, subtle voice of a merchant
''The Illithid will bet 50 gold on the Sacred Fist, could I possibly interest anyone in some fruit? Very good value!''
Phew! That was certainly a tough training session. Now for a well-earned rest.
She starts jogging on the spot.
Ahhhhh. It's nice to relax, isn't it? But I see that a fight with true honour has been spurned during my sleep, in favour of a pointless slap-fight over religion. I once knew a guy who knew a guy who went into Unreality to see if he could find any gods. If he found them, they wouldn't be Real, you see? A clever plan, but unfortunately, when he came back, he never told anyone if he found them or not.
Some people said that he had found a god, and had been bribed with power to keep its non-existence a secret; others theorised that he had not found one and was ashamed to think that there were beings in existence more powerful than he. Personally, I think he got lost and was too proud to ask for directions. Men.
I might bet, but I wish to see where the odds take us first. I'm leaning towards a Sacred Fist victory, but betting against the Riskbreaker and Lady Luck seems somewhat counter-intuitive.
