DMI IV - The Grand Line (BtS)

I guess it's no longer Tuesday at Edinburgh... I'll give Ralph another 6 hours for finishing his report. If the report is not up by then berserk will play from blid's save.

Imhotep

Gold Roger, The ‘Pirate King’ had achieved it all. Wealth, Fame, and Power Had all been his. Not Suprisingly, the final words he spoke before they lopped off his head inspired adventurers throughout the world to sail the seas.”
“My Treasure? Why, it’s right where I left it…It’s yours if you can find it…But you’ll have to search the WHOLE WORLD!”
“The World… Is about to witness a GREAT ERA OF PIRACY”
So Luffy was feeling peckish (as always) when Nami popped into see him.

“What’s up Nami” He asked
“Well the usual you know boss but we do have couple of problems……
“Yeah what?”
“Well Sanji has given up kicking people and gone back to hi other favourite habit of chasing girls”
“Well so what’s the problem” Luffy enquired
“well this time he’s been rather successful and their breeding like blooming rabbits out there, it’s just getting over crowded. Zoro is no help as he is fast asleep. The only thing I have found to keep them out of Mischief is getting them to pile one stone on top of another and make a really big heap and sending some of them out to explore”
“OK Nami sounds like you are on top of things now go and find me something to eat…”

So with our food surplus as pointed out the best thing to do is to leverage the food overflow into hammers and build something impressive like the Pyramids. So switch to Masonry and off we go.

Plan

1. Settle red Dot
2. Research Masonry
3. Build Pyramid with Settler Worker Overflow whilst
4. Settling Green Dot
5. Use Excess workers (yes we will have some) for exploring

Turn 2 Shell town founded at original red dot

Turn 6 Harbor Village founded on Green Dot and we start overflowing into the pyramids.

Turn 7 Our Brave exploring Workers pop a Hut for 50 Gold. They tried to do some real exploring but Mohji the Lion Tamer was on their toes constantly so nothing significant revealed.

EOT report

Judicious over flow management means the Pyramids will be complete by just pressing enter. Its insane the hammers generated just by the food to hammers overflow from building a worker / settler.

Techs learned.

Masonry, Pottery, Fishing, Wheel and Agriculture completed.

Apologies for the slightly late post, it was played alst night but took this morning to try and put some One-Piece colour into the report.

nice going ~ i think we should in almost all instances, whip bldgs into existence at the capital, along with as many Wonders as we think will fit. With all that food and wonders, we should be pumping out Great People rather quickly!

Did you hire citizens ? That's how I was conceiving MM, to avoid having the worker or the settler compelted at first turn and have maximum overflow. Hearing someone saying cheesy there ? Hell, like we're playing a conventional game :crazyeye:

I think the great wall is a no brainer. Since we can, we should build it. Not having to worry about barbs (euh I mean ugly pirates, since we're nice ones) would be even more cheesy :groucho:

No worries - as long as the report is in that fashion I'm the last one to complain ! Well done !

That makes berserks up regularly ! Now that he asked for a skip in SunNeverSets he should be able to play this one...

might that mean he needs a skip in this game, too??

@pholkherina, Queen of Queens:

No, because his skip was due to end game performance problems with his laptop...

yes, yes ~ i saw that after i posted.

Thank you, knave of knaves

I've got it. Yes I should be able to play this one just fine.

Did you hire citizens ? That's how I was conceiving MM,

I am afraid having thought it through I just went for the simple

Turn 1 Worker (not settler to max overflow)
Turn 2 Pyramids (picking up 70+ odd shields overflow min)
Turn 3 Worker Rinse and repeat Approach

If it had been a SGOTM I might have done some ice pack on the head calculations to try and find somehting better but felt that was over the top for this SG... Remember we're Pirates not Mathematicians !!

How many turns are we supposed to play? I guestimated 10 turns, so that's what I played.

Took some screens but for some reason they are in .tga format even though I specified JPG format in the ini file. I was able to convert 2 of them to gifs, but the tech and wonder splash screens didn't make it, sorry.

The same turn us Pirates built the Pyramids, one of our sacrificial worker scout got eaten by a Lion. But hey, we got the Pyramids :goodjob: and I switched to Rep immediately.

Founded Oceans Navel here:

Once we learned the art of metal bending, Shelltown seems like a very nice production town indeed.

Great Wall in 2 turns. Ocean's Navel should be able to spill out some pirate scouting ships to open up our world.

I did notice that the cottaged grasslands around Harbor Village is yielding a loaf of bread instead of the usual 2 slices, any idea why that is?

I guess
1. Gyathaar style Grassland Flood Plains would be the Offical answer
2. But the In-Theme one would be that an occasional side effect of devil fruit consumption is that not only are you hungry but some forms of grass becomes immensely nourishing...

3. But in reality it will turn out that Our Mighty Leader has inflicted some gigantic handicaps on us which will become clearer as we play and that we will desperately need these bonuses to survive while cursing his twisted & evil Pirate Infested Mind.

Just to say I will be out of the loop till Sunday afternoon as I am off to Amsterdam for a friends birthday. Shouldn't be an issue unless you all decide to zip through your turns at warp speed..

Ralph

Okay, I got it, and will get us the Wall.

but I think 10 turns seems too few in the opening, no? Will see what I see ~

I also need the correct save ~

Beserks, you posted the same 2600 one as Ralph!

Doh!!! I forgot that in the BC the numbers go down :p

Anyway, here's the correct save. I double checked to make sure, that's why I noticed that I forgot to mention that we have a GE in Fuscha
