There is that little ethnic French island that you have, plus one of my allies that you have threatened, plus I did not at all appreciate your naval build-up (particularily your operations west of France that possibly could have been in preparation for an attack on France, having surrounded it; yes, I was quite paranoid).

That's my point. Even if you wouldn't attack me, it still was a strategic position from which you could threaten me. Hence me agreeing to the Iroquois plan for an all-out attack ASAP (well, I delayed it by one turn to build up my fleet further, and also to give Contempt time to prepare).

Funding Alaskan rebels (something u said u prepared to do) would have obviously been a reason for us to go to war and in that case i doubt SKA would have supported you

And you were quite clearly planning to dominate the continent, I only did what I had to do to protect myself. You would have been preoccupied fighting rebels while I contineued my build up. Us attacking everybody? Let's see, Mexico attacked France resulting in the NOD invasion of Mexico and it's later partition while the cowardly Spaniards waited until most of the Mexican army was away to invade and create a vassal state. Acadia got invaded as it turned fascists and was a genuine threat to the United States. Alaska got invaded because it threatened to cut off the supply of oil to the United States. The reasons I attacked everyone is stated above, I had excellent relations with nearly everyone else.

"Get a piece of the action" perhaps if you didn't try to get a piece of the action we wouldn't have ever possibly be in your way? And if you must know, if worse comes to worse, I would have locked up everyone in Alaska and deported them to a barren island somewhere Or just use Alaska for the testing of my nuclear weaponry

Yes. And you will be fighting on two fronts with the Iroquois, while your homelands come under a massive attack. Of the others, only the Celts are likely to attack the Iroquois, the others having better things to do. But Celtica is EXTREMELLY unstable, as you have seen, so the Iroquois would have been free to bury Mayan and Byzantine forces with their corpses for a few more years at least.

When I first read that sentance I thought you intended to lock EVERYBODY (as in, all of the world's population) up in Alaska. Now, that would've been evil - as for sending Alaskans to a barren island, why not just use them for slave labour? Much more cost effective, IMHO.

That's the best bit - I wouldn't have given you "a few turns". Your fleet would have still been fighting the Iroquois when we would have attacked you, and any attempts to move it back will either result in the fleet's destruction along the way by our artillery and aviation, either in it arriving way too late (and then being destroyed anyway).

My ambitions were no threat to yours, you recognized the Mexican government anyway, and so long as I didn't feel threatened I wouldn't have done anything to you guys. But you always were incresingly hostile, and at least I tried to better my relations with you guys, remember how I supported your plea against Celtic incursion?
