i hate coastal starts, but I noticed reef + geothermal fissure, so moved toward it.

Suddenly Kupe decided to land with hise lonely settler. Easy writing eureka and bye bye

The effect?

Capital:
+6 campus, going to 7 with harbor
2nd city
+5 harbor, place for +3 campus
And a lot of +culture/science resources

After exploring neighbourhood:
a place for +5 pasture trade city
another place for +6/+7 campus as 4th city.

I quit. It feels like cheating.

Deity/7 seas/all standard

I played a game the other day as Kongo where I got 2 relics by T10 which by itself was Great but when poundmaker sent me 3 settlers by T50 I quit. It felt like the rule set had broken.
I guess we all have such weird stories. I look at the screenshot above and sure, 2 cities by T4 is a great start but the land does not overflow with production. Turtles and marble are a nice combo though but I’d still prefer Torres del Paine

Who cares about flatland when you are Cree. You have enough culture resources to rush CS in classical era (pray for defensive tactic inspiration from village) --> +2hammer mekewaps. +5 pastures city would allow to buy all buildings and surely cartography before eductaion for even more cash with so many luxuries. And it comes easy when shipyard come into play

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do you have a +6 campus in the capital?

Geothermal fissure in the Capital with 2 reefs to the east. Took me a while to see it too.

TBH I wasn't that impressed with the screenshot until I read about his +5 pasture city to the west. WIth Poundmaker it's all about that trade capital and rushing lighthouses or markets, then running a trade route from every new city to the pasture city the turn you settle it. So having terrain that yields science and/or culture directly is golden for Cree. Add to the fact that Kupe handed him a settler on turn 4....

Here's a start I saved the other day. Duel map, deity, epic speed. Saw a rare opportunity here to level up an elite force of Okihtcitaw. Didn't go so well. Maybe in the OP's hands....;):mischief:

Warning: single random AI opponent is still on the "Civs in the hands of the AI" elimination thread, not leaving soon :undecide:

 And I thought my finding a relic on turn 2 as Kongo was the best start ever... What are the odds of popping 2 huts with relics in 10 turns? Must be very low.
