I'm wondering how many people here can/do cook? I konw we have at least a couple here who cook for a living but I wonder about the rest of you? Can you cook? Do you like to cook?

POLL COMING

I don't cook. I don't place much importance on food so it's not worth the effort for me to make anything more complicated than Mac&Cheese.

yes, I can cook a variety of meals because it is a little hobby of mine.. sometimes I try to cook something that looks nice like a nice recipie over the internet or something I tried at a restaurant...

TO HELL WITH JUNK FOOD!

I cook Poptarts, Hot Pockets, Frozen Pizza, Bagels, Eggo Waffles, and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches very well.

You only need basic knowledge to cook most things. Packaging says how long to put it on for. Whack it in the oven, put on some potatoes and carrots and that's it. Boring but hey, it's a meal.

Mac N' Cheese, Grilled Cheese, Ramen Noodles, Various Soups, Easy Stuff.

Lazy microwave/boiled water eater right here.

If by,cooking, you mean ordering pizza or something than yea I'm great at cooking

True to the college student sterotype, I can do boxed pastas and little else.

Pretty much everything I can cook involves a microwave in some way

Like Hot Pockets?

Yeah. I chose the first option even though it's more a statement of intent than fact (i.e. I may not yet be an amateur expert, but I aspire to be and practice quite a bit, so am getting there). We make proper dinners as often as we can and we try to vary the work-load sharing.

Also I am in charge of baking our everyday bread, plus the occasional simple cake or pie (made apple pie last week... yum).

I cook as often as possible
WHen I don´t have a lot of time I mostly cook pasta with a self made sauce, which is mostly the case during the week. Most time consuming step imho is to look up the receipts and to find a store with good quality and assortment.

As I already finished my study in technical chemistry, the cooking part and putting together of the incredients is easy for me.

Most Microwave meals and buyable pasta sauces (exception is the Ricotta one from Barilla) are tasting like paperboards so when I am making one of these, I usually add some spices or in case of soups add some fresh vegetables.
