I'm an illegitimate child of Prins Charles :D

One day I will be the king of England and you will bow for me. In the meantime be good my loyal minions.

Seriouslly no. I'm not. I can trace my ancestery down to the 17th century in a small German town. No nobility anywhere down the line.

As far as I know : no.

But my earlier known ancestor ( Jehan Baudhier ) allready lived around 1400 in what is now Wallonia.

What's also interesting about my family is that it is a very rare name and totally 'unswiss' (and neither sounds it french or german). It's probably a transformation from 'John'. Perhaps sometime in the future, I want to find out what it really means, where it does came from and how it happens that it is 'so unique'.

If you go back far enough, I am related to some Norwegian and Swedish Kings. Don't remember all of them, just Eric 'Bloodaxe', who killed four of his older brothers.

And supposedly, according to one person's research I can trace my ancestry from there back to someone mentioned in the bible and from there back to Adam and Eve (note, that I don't believe the bible). 120+ generations it was.

Unsure, but probable since incest must have happened a lot considering that for me alone, stretching back to the fall of Rome would require 1.15*10^18 unrelated ancestors, ie, significantly more people than have existed on the world to date.

There's probably 4th, 5th, 6th.... nth cousins that marry eachother and have kids, whether they know they're family or not.

My grandfather on dad's side did some genealogical research (if that's the word :p) and found that we had at least one ancestor in the Swedish royal court. Don't know who, don't know when. I'm really not that intrested so I won't do any research myself.

I read somewhere that all European royaly is somehow related to each other. So, I guess now, in a sense, everyone of European descent has atleast some royalty/nobility way back in their ancestry.

It's more like we ALL have royal ancestry somewhere down the line, we just have to do the research to find them, provided records exist that will allow it.

Generally Swedes tend to have a better shot at that kind of family history research with some of the oldest records in existance. (Started early, very consistent, and little damage from warfare etc.)

I agree with Verbose.

Technically, I am the 29th generation of Li Wendi (or so I've been told), emperor of the Tang Dynasty (and only 1 of 2 Lis to hold the title).
Of course, the old emperor fathered God-knows-how-many sons and with the dilutions of 29 generations, I'd be pretty red-blooded by now.

I'm decentant of Constantius the Great. :joke: ;)

Well.. ...no ...i'm not. But, my mother is a decentant of aristocratic trade family (or something) and my father is decentant of a peasant family. There was The ''Club rebellion'' in finland and my families fought against each other.

I'm a direct descendant of Powhatan and Pocahontas, but then again so are millions of other lily white Americans like myself.

There are a great many people on my grandmothers side that believe we are direct descendants of King Canute and possibly Harald Haardrade, but that's also not likely. Then we would have been royals and would never have had to come to this cultural wasteland as white slaves.

I am related to the spanish royal family, though severall generations ago.

My father's family is a noble one from Genoa, and so I have plenty of dukes and counts as my direct ancestors. In fact there are many palaces in Northern Italy that carry my family's name.

Also this same family is believed to go back to Roman times, though I doubt it can be proved. Supposedely I am related to Augustus.

Bright day
I hail from Salavas z Lípy, very minor line, but related to once great Trčkas z Lípy. Unfortunately main line died out in 1560, though my ancestors kept little parts of estates there untill begining of 19th century when they moved to Moravia and my grandfather was eighth son, so got only money.
Anyway our coat of arms was red on black with silver crossbar (I studied heraldics only in czech, so excuse me).
