why do you hang around forums for a game you've never played?

Back in 10th grade, I was browsing the internet for something pertaining to history, and I came across CFC World History, and so I lurked for a while, then joined. I got tired of the politics involved in debating history, so I came to the more enjoyable Off-Topic

I used to play CIV IV for a total of about 2-4 hours on the weekends, but then my computer broke, and that was around 3 months ago.

In the past, when I had less on my plate I'd indulge heavily in CIV III and II, about an hour or two a day. Fun stuff, that was.

But CIV IV is a fun game. I personally think it's the best in the series, even with the nostalgia factor of CIV III and II factored in. If my computer (the one with the necessary hardware) were fixed, I'd probably at least play the occasional turn or two per day. When the expansion pack comes out this summer I'll most certainly pick it up.

I played civ1 a loooong time ago. I've never played any of the newer civs in single player. I play civ4 in multiplayer with my bro occasionally.

Civ appeals to so many different types of people, so this forum is quite interesting to hang on.

I play Civ4 on irregular basis and Civ3 once in a blue moon.

For the record, I also enjoy stepping in puddles on the sidewalk.

got a russian huge domination game now (im @ 60% pop, 54% land) cossacks and infantry VS rifles (very rare, muskets and LBs)
very long turns

Only slow moving MP games like Pitboss and PBEM do I play. If a suitable game ever turns up, I'll probably attempt to complete my Civ4 HoF Quattromasters.

Yes. Civilization II ToT, III Conquests, and VI Warlords. On occasion I also play SMAX, Colonization, and Pirates.

I'm shocked.... Civ Fanatics forum and most of the regular posters don't even play the game! My last illusions are shattered...

I play irregularly nowadays - sometimes weeks go by w/o a game, then again I get involved in one again and play several times a week. Mostly FFH2 right now, but I'll pick up the new expansion when it comes out and give it a whirl!

I've played CIV, but I didn't really enjoyed it. I tried several games though, to see what are the good ideas I could use in SSS, and what are the bad ideas I should avoid.
