Even though hitler lacked support from his generals he would still be Charismatic/?. I would definetly not call him financial not even organized. He had a few good idea's but he was a failure as a war leader because he could not maintain what he took.

Anywho, yeah I agree. Someone could always mod him in. And may I ask, why does the world war 2 mod in BTS not have Japan? They even have pretty unimportant countries like "the lowlands" and even Poland made the cut! How long did they survive in the war? Japan didn't make the cut, and they were one of the "big five" of the war (United States, Britan, Japan, Germany, Russia)

I think most of the people here have been very good at maintaining a mature discussion on what is morally allowed in Civ.

Does the WW2 mod span the globe or just europe? If the globe then Japan should totally be in.

Well, United States is in, and the last time I checked, United States is not Europe.

The Nisei (Second generation Japanese Americans, the first generation born in the US) were extraordinary Americans. I think I'd have trouble being that patriotic if my family was robbed of everything and thrown in an internment camp. I read a Holocaust survivor's account of her concentration camp being liberated by the Nisei, she thought they were Imperial Army soldiers allied with the Nazis and that they were going to kill her.

Then why did they call it world war 2? Would it kill them to call it "european theater"? The title is misleading.

I would prefer a full scale world war 2 mod, with all the major countries involved, over a "European theater" any day of the week. Civ 2's attempt at this was even worse. The only United States cities in the game were (if I remember correctly) Washington, and New York. Two cities. woooooo

If you play as a more neutral country, like Turkey, you know what happens? The allied and axis eventually make peace, without taking much land from each other. If your playing as France, the allies will get pissed at you for not taking much land from the axis, as if thats your fault. And why does Spain even exist? What good are they in this mod? They choose almost completly useless countries (to world war 2) such as Spain and Turkey to be in the mod, but Japan didn't. The civilization series just has a history of neglecting Japan in WW2 scenarios. What can I say?

I don't know about you, but I say Its about time they make a full scale WW2 mod. (and yes, I know there are some fan-created ones, but those are generally not balanced, and suck. Fireaxis, you can do better.)

The BTS attempt at a Second World War mod was pretty awful in my opinion. Few diplo options, and the AI is just broken.
I played as the Soviet Union on Noble, and just spent ages building up my forces and destroying Finland, waiting for the Germans under "von Papen" to go crazy, attack Poland and destroy France etc.

I was waiting for a long time, it was 1941 when they finally attacked Poland.
Waited some more for them to break the non agression pact and destroy me, but by then I'd already gotten bored.

No simulation of the various pacts and agreements either.
Free play mode is awful :/

Even without free play mode, it sucks. Its just a poorly done scenario. I know they will make some scenarios for civ rev. If one of them is World war 2, I hope they do a better job. I really expect a better ww2 scenario is civ5 regardless.

Oldschooler, you have to keep in mind that Firaxis is bound by the "lowest common denominator". Even with that, they got a ton of crap from people about minimum specs, remember? So, any mod that is included in the official game simply cannot use Huge maps and thus have all the detail you're asking for. Otherwise, they would have to cram the entire globe into a standard size map. What, all of France is one city? What fun would that be?

If you can't play the specs of a mod then you just don't play it. You could just have a European and a Pacific Scenario
