Don't You Just Hate it When

Don't you hate it when you go on a conquering spree, then talk to Askia, and the first thing he says is; "Ah, the bloodthirsty one shows his face." Despite him having behind him a magnificent city, which he burned and then killed every inhabitant?

... when AI uses catapults as scouts (because they have low combat strength?)

... and with it, I mean Ramkhamhaeng, I've grown to hate him... a lot!

Any time Gandhi is my neighbor. I don't care how good of a person he was in real life, I hate his guts now. CiV completely ruined him as a person for me. I pick all my AI opponents now just to make sure I don't have that little bugger on the map

Amen.

Gandhi may have been the most peaceful man the World has ever known, but the Gandhi of CiV is certainly the most evil dude YOU will know.

In fact, your people will only truly forget him when he nukes your last city

One thing really bothered me:
Playing in my last game as Germany, I had this huge expanse of plains in the middle of my empire with no resources whatsoever, luxury or strategic. It encompassed about 20 tiles or so of nothingness.
So the whole way through the game as I'm unlocking technology I'm all like "OK there has got to be some Coal in there... No? Well there's probably a bunch of oil... Guess not? OK there MUST be some uranium... What? OK OK DEFINITELY gonna be filled with Aluminum... WTH"
Just... nothing. So disappointing.

-- when RA gives you the least significant and less costly Tech available or when every opponents are using such purchasing tactics to runaway up their "common" tree quests.

Can't think of anything else more gamey except for the chaos of emotional Diplomatic deals.

...when you hover over a worker building something, and it says "1 turn remaining" and then after you end the turn it still has another turn left.

...when I start a new game and forget which civ I am, and play as if I'm still the civ from the last game.

Case in point: Playing as France but keeps building things in Paris first, coz Rome was my last game haha

when you are England but get no coal (first industrialized nation)
when you are America and get no aluminum
when you are Rome and get no iron

When your Arabia and get no oil

when you get russia with no stratigic recuarces

rome with out iron was already said : (

oh yah when i play multiplayer i do random civs, and i alot of the time draw the ottomans on a pangea with out barbs
