Doto [AdvCiv ModMod]

deleted the mod again, checked in my documents under custom assets and cant find anything Overlord 2 specific. Started up Civ and cant find Overload 2 in the mod screen. I will now try to download it fresh
 
I get text errors in the middle of the screen:

BugOptions failed writing INI file C:\program files (x86) firaxis games\sid meirs civiliazation 4\beyond the sword\mods\overlord2.3.6\usersettings\autolog.ini'
 
I also get a message at start up that says "your machine is below recommended specifications, the graphics were altered to accomodate this, however , you may experience performance issues".... I run the game always on the highest settings so I know its to a problem with the computer
 
Before You decide to remove assimilation let me try without flexible difficulty.... I did mark something difficulty related..... I give it a shot tonight....
I let you now about my findings tomorrow.....
 
Well... Assimilation on and Flexible Difficulty off...... game do not slow as it used to in previous game.....
So it means that Assimilation option itself do not slow the game.... but Flex. Diff. does!

i see, vista problem then,

im not sure how to run as administrator - might be through right click on the civ4 exe file or ol2 shortcut and maybe theres an option to do so there.

ok then its flex', ill just remove that option for next version, no problem then.

say - with assimilation - once you take an enemy city - its uu availbe only on that city right? not all across your other cities right?

yes that's what I noticed also. It's not assimilation but flex difficulty that slows the game
for religion system, I do loooooooooove the "only some civ can discover some religion system", it is more "accurate" historically, brings more diplomatic tensions and makes the researsh order more funny. Now to counter the fact that some "old" religions are discovered very late, maybe you should increase the incentive of researching that tech for a given civ (i don't know how feasable is that), or the building that create the religion. or put a free prophet every time you discover a religion (that's maybe too much though)
 
yeah i have tried to give the ai a reason to found that building,

with varius ways - that didnt seem to work,

if you remember in v-2.2 i think i used another system of unique religions - without buildings - but you guys reported a double religion found and so on - maybe i can recheck that system then.

(i also want the unique religion system).

I will play few turns to see about uniqueness of units for particular conquered cities but I can say right away that I remember building some Dutch special type of ship in one only post-dutch city. I will take a look but as you said it works only for conquered city not across imperium.


About the Barbarian cities.....Yes, I got that feeling .....

About religions.... It is some kind of fun when to get particular religion , or at least Holy City, you have to go and conquer civilization or just their holy city..... somehow it feels right . How about destroying Holy City!!! It is one of those small things that makes given mod great.... It just gives some additional flavor.
 
Does the Abandon City option work or I am doing something wrong? I tried few times on conquered cities placed wrongly accordingly to my strategy and I couldn't......
I didn't notice that previously but getting slaves after winning a battle seems to by historically very accurate, not even for slavery civic but also for later (fascism/communism)

i ran 15 turns and no crash,

wow how can you play in a huge map!

anyway - i dont recommend you use dynamic civs, not sure if its working good.

probably i edited something in my version that fixed this.

that works better than previously (ie long time ago). AI seem to put some distance between cities but not too much (4 (no overlap) to 6 tiles max), I actually love that, I hate it when the AI put a city just three tiles from mine.
Another remark: "Choose religion" option seems checked even if I change it.
I cannot found any religion even though I am sure I was the first to discover monotheislm than Theology!!!
 
really? glad that you like the city stuff -so - its better if i change the 3 size growth to be a little early right?

choose religion? i never played with it - not sure why you have a problem all i did was to add a limited religion that is on by default - changeable via globaldefinesalf.xml.


oh and krushyn, abandon city should work - ill test it.
 
Fisrt time playing this mod. A like so much.

The siege bombardment is working well? My siege units have this option but never can do this, they are able but don't fire. It's rigth?
 
Canabrava, hi and welcome.

this bomb thing you describe is a known bug in revdcm part of the mod,

you need you recheck the check box of ranged bomb' under the bug /revdcm screen (BUg screen button on the left og the screen),
then reload your game and it will be ok.

Playing your mod since 1.6 (now 2.3.5)
Now I'm playing with my friends on Custom continents map from classical era.
Before this we trying to play on archipelago/
We always have an error message.
If game starts from classical era i (and my friends too) just dont know how to have an old religion(hiduism, judaism and so on)
My system is Windows Seven. Civ BTS 3.19 eng version.
Is where any way to solve this problems?
P.s. thanks for your mod - it's the best i've played.
