Double Your Pleasure

Hello Bernskov,

Is there any chance that you will be uploading your mod again?

På forhånd tak (thanks in advance)

Unfortunately, website of mod again offline. If to you it is necessary original modes, I can try to find it in the archives. As far as I remember, it is incompatible with C3C. After it there was RAR from the same authors and RARR on which link was already given.

Yeah, Rise and Rule was the C3C updated version of Double Your Pleasure.

Rise and Rule Revisited is an updated version of RAR bringing it up to scratch with current available units and such - I'd recommend downloading this one, I've been playing it recently and it's superb :)

eyuri, welcome at CFC! :band:[party]

You have a low-graphics version of DyP in the PtW scenarios folder that can be started with C3C or Civ 3 Complete. In that version all additional buildings and many additional units are replaced by two no-graphics placeholder icons, but it can be played. As posted above, it is much better to play the DyP successors RAR and RARR.

I'm playing Double Your Pleasure from Civ 3:Complete on an iMac. I haven't run any mods to the basic game but when I get about a couple of hundred turns in and it just freezes. The freeze seems to happen after all the AI Civs have "moved" and on the large map.

I've gone through this thread and it seems to me the mods to fix glitches are Windows based. Am I right, or can someone steer me to a mod for both OSs. Many thanks.

What model iMac? Are you playing the Mac version of Civ3 on an older iMac or the Windows version via WINE/Porting Kit on a newer Apple Silicon iMac? I can't be much help on older iMac running the native Mac version. If you have an Apple Silicon (M1/M2/etc.) iMac, I'd suggest installing the Flintlock's C3X Patch. The improvements that he made to the trade net calculations really speeds things up late game.

Older Mac (2017, Intel chip) running Civ3 for Mac, Thanks for your help, looks like I'm stuck playing medium-sized worlds.
