Noooo, don't give up yet - all is not lost. :)

Sorry, I would have released the mod last week, but some family issues came in the way of that. Just finishing the last few critical issues, and then we will release the mod, even though it's not going to be with all the extras that were originally planned right away. Instead, we will give you a working version, and then the full-blown version will be released some time after september.
 
Heaps and truckloads of unit animations, artwork ... and a completely finished and final documentation of course :mischief:

i'm going to put full effort in getting Conquest just for this mod. so don't disappoint me please..............

They are talking about Rise and Rule for C3C. It is the sequel to DyP. Well sort of.
 
I found the hard way some time ago that DYP didn't work with Conquests. I didn't want to install everything again so that I could play DYP with PTW so while I was "a little angry" I started modding and today I finally changed DYP to be compatible with Conquests.. There was that problem dyp crashing every time I built my first city but that bug went away once I edited pediaicons.txt (Conquests adds some icon numbers there). Don't know yet if there are any other bugs that cause similar crash problems since in my first test game the Aztecs destroyed my cities 2000BC (I play DYP on emperor difficulty). :lol:

Next I'm going to add the new conquests units (Flak, SAM..) and some other units I felt were missing (mortars, coastal combat boats, more artillery units, near future combat units..) to dyp so that I can enjoy more of this mod while I'm waiting Rise and Rule to be released.

Anyway, my point is that anyone can make the required changes and convert DYP to Conquests... ;)
 
One hopes Rise and Rule will come out soon. Isak said *cough cough* that they'd be releasing it soon, with a patch coming out in September.
 
im having problems on the links to download, whenever i click on DyP for PTW it takes me to civ3.bernscov.com, then i click on the link to download it, but after that it takes me here again!! i have tried too many times please help

thanks for the help but now it takes me to a new window without nothing, and it doesn't work!i keep waiting and waiting, but nothing happens. how frustraiting :(
 
Weird, it popped right up for me. Go back to the civ3.bernscov site, and go into the forums. It's on a different server, and they have links to the files from there.
 
sorry for the trouble but its just going back and forwards, i click in the link in the forums, it takes me to the same site, i click on DyP PTW, it takes me to the forums, i click in the link in the forum, it takes me back, and then again and again.
do i have to be registired on the DyP site??or do i need erlier versions?
 
No, you don't. I just tried it from a computer that I don't use to go to that site, and got in with no problem. I was also able to get to the d/l site with no problems.

Sorry, don't know what's going on with your session.
