Download BUG and BAT Here!

I have Blue Marble set to default to a blue background, whereas the installer for BM makes the screen a sickly sort of yellow color. That's normal.

Did you know that you can alter the HUD color to anything you want to? Simply by using my fabulous utility that changes HUD colors. You can get it here:

Enjoy :)

As for the missing icon. I have no idea why that happens. I'll post the icon again for you.

Oh I see then, so everything is fine, I will use the tool for the HUD although the blue one is pretty sexy with BAT. Thanks for the icon but its ok I replace it with existing one from the game installation.

Ok stupid question but... it was a long long time.
So I am going to install BAT - in the download page there're 3 options. Which one I should select ? Or more specific - do i download the installer.exe version only or do I need the dll and the other zip file also ?

If you are using a Steam version of BTS, then use the Zip file and unzip the contents into your Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Mods folder. Enjoy! :)

You don't need the DLL unless you plan on playing with 50 Civs. The regular DLL only handles the stock amount of Civs. That comes standard with BAT. Replace the DLL that comes with BAT (rename it) with the 50 Civ one if you want to use all 50 Civs.

Some people like playing with that many Civs. Personally, I don't see the point.

Thanx !
Also i have a very stupid problem and I am sure it's from the Bat mod. So the problem is that macemen and cuirassiers are named heavy footman and heavy horseman in my game. How can I change that ? It is very misleading and i just don't like them named that way- I prefer them to be as they are by default.

It involves XML editing with Civ4UnitInfos.xml, if I'm not mistaken. Not sure why that happened, but it does sound like a BAT problem. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I shall fix it for BAT 5.0.

Oh, ok I see. I just thought it's something I can do in the options or something like that.:crazyeye: It's nothing too important or too much and I would be happy to fix it alone if I could for my game /if it doesn't bother anyone else/.
Thank you again! I will be here waiting, reading and lurking close!:love:

You could change the names to Bruce (for the maceman) and Mary for the heavy horseman.

Wait! What!!! Super Moderator! Lemon! When did that happen?

About a week ago. It seems that I have been popular of late and got promoted. :)

Congrats!

Thanks!

I noticed that the BAT zip includes the most recent BUG 4.5 and BULL 1.3-4 changes (such as highlightable city tiles), but the default zips for their own mods do not (4.4 and 1.2, respectively).

So I made one from the more recent commits that includes the following in one folder:
BUG Mod 4.5 r2249
BULL 1.3 Compiled
GlobalDefinesAlt Fix

Does Not Include:
Any BULL updates after 1.3 that required re-compiling the DLL
Optional Components

To Install: unzip and copy the folder to the Beyond the Sword\Mods folder. It should work with no errors.

BUG 4.5 is not an official release.

Yes it does. I can't remember specifically what they were, but for reasons that I can't go into, official releases were stopped at 4.4. BAT contains 4.5, but it is heavily modified and is not for normal release without the DLL/BULL. Thus you see, there is a fork and it is not canon. The BUG team does not support version 4.5 officially.

Hey there folks.

I've been using the 4.1 BAT mod and i was wondering: is there is a way to automatically load the Mod when i start the game? I use steam, if it is relevant.

Yes there is. Go to the Civ.ini file in your \Documents\My Games\Beyond the sword folder and locate the "Load Mod =" tag set the tag to "BAT Mod 4.1" (no quotes). That should do it.

I'm not at my Civ computer right now, but I'm pretty sure that was the right thing. If not, please post back and I'll try to help more tonight.
