Civ2 MGE Patch 3 is in Civfanatics downloads section.

Hey marko when i played as the spanish and try to upload my game it says i don't have rules14.txt where can i get it? and when i load up a sav game using the europe.bat application do i go through everything that it gives me?

I just checked: Rules14.txt is included to TSFErules.zip file in Civfanatics. There must be 65 rules files: from Rules1.txt to Rules65.txt.
Seems that you lost some of its contents during downloading. Download it again.
When you load your saved game better is to run Europe.bat and go through all its choices.
The program restores rules, labels, sounds etc for your current game.
But if you haven't changed them in between (like playnig other TSFE game) it is not neccessary.
65 rules files!I don't want to think how many events.txts are involved.Game.txt also I spose.Need an applescript for the .bat....gulp..

Absolutely! This is an excelent scenario that Marko has done. I did some playtesting... try it as the Soviets, he he.
I can only imagine the effort that Marko has put into this badboy. 65 rules.txt, some other huge # of events as well. Truly monumental. Congrats again Marko!

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but I wanted to check. I am playing the full campaign game from May of 1940. When I reach the summer of 1941, the major events (Yugoslavian invasion and Operation Barbossa) do not occur! It does pop up the correct text boxes, but fails to run the 'MAKEAGGRESSION' commands. I have checked out the code in the events files and they seem to be correct, and I have run the delevent file multiple times to make sure that the old events are deleted. I don't know what else to do. Please help!

Civplayer, i have the same problem.
the first two times i played the game, it worked fine, but the last two times i've played, the germans have never attacked Russia or Yugoslavia... i don't get it.

It happened to me once when playtesting, here's the thing you must have allo f the files downloaded and run Europe.bat when you load a saved game. I'm sure you don't have all of the important files like maybe some very important rules/events files like the files that have you attacking yugoslavia and russia.

sun tzu, i'm playing as russia.
the first time as russia (on hard), germany attacked, and slaughtered me. the last 2 times (on medium) they just don't attack, and the text doesn't come up. i didn't delete the files, and i obviously know how to run the game, seeing as it worked the first time...

Check the events.txt file - is it the right one (there must be events for Barbarossa and Jugoslavian invasion).
For playing Medium level as Soviet Union in Summer 41 you must have Events14e.txt. Check it also.
If everything is OK then the reason can be that in some rare cases Civ2 engine simply fail to launch some events. I have seen that but it is really rare and I don't believe that it is your case.
SunTzu: Minor Nations attitude toward Axis is set to worshipful at the beginning of scenario. So they mustn't attack you for a while. Only way to prevent them attacking you at all is to put them to alliance with Axis.
I don't like to do it because it takes out many possibilities. Some players like to invade to Turkey and use it as base for operations against Middle East and Caucasia. Axis must have choice to do it.
But I shall change Minor Nations character to peaceful in next version of TSFE. This must hold them back.
But until it try to use their attack for your advantage: except Istanbul and Switzerland all their cities are lightly defended and some have good production and strategic value.
I made a special version of TSFE where Minor Nations are allied with Great Powers (until winter 44/45 when negotiations are allowed). It is only for playing in Easy or Medium level from May 1940.

I played on hardest level from th start as axis...I want to know if I am missing something: how do I end the brit attacks in Norway?
I am trying the scenario again as I advanced so slowly at heavy cost...not being lazy this time, micro-managing it too the extreme.
You said only one person could probably win as axis on hard level...does he give tips???
Has anyone taken out the russians on hard?
