Dragon Age.

No.

Spoiler :

Only a female human can become queen, you cannot become King.

Wrong.

Spoiler :
My first playthrough was male human noble and I became King. Just marry Anora. You may need good Coercion, but I'm not sure. I didn't romance anyone though, but I don't think it makes any difference.

Congrats on missing the last two posts on the last page where we already covered this.

How do I solve the Stamina problem for my warriors?

seems like they never have enough Stamina to cast any of their better skills..

I like to go with Sten so far (seems the toughest), and I've got 2 Sustained skills going on:
Indomitable
Threaten

after that, he's at half Stamina. he can do a couple of skills, then he's blacked out for most of the fight, and rarely gets to use the upper Tier skills unless I use them first shot.

'course, I'm still kicking ass w/ three wizards to back him ;p

Return to Ostagar seems to be coming out next week. The other DLC was $7 and it was only half an hour of gameplay, so I hope this one is more worth the money.

Edit: Oh wait, it appears to have been released today.

It won't. I still haven't gotten the Fallout 3 DLC, for instance, because I don,t see how the total of all of it is worth more than 30$, and it's impossible to get it all for 30$. All of it would make a proper 30$ expansion pack, not a 10$-a-piece butt-hurting.

People need to stop encouraging this. I love Borderlands and I haven't gotten the DLC for it either. Two horribly short 10$ wastes of money. It's not even half of a proper expansion pack and it's still over 20$ total when you think of it. They'll go as far as we are stupid enough to go. The Far Cry 2 DLC was pretty much Ubisoft taking a dump on people's head and filming it for later gloating.

Sure you can point out that one piece of DLC that's worth it... They exist somewhere in the gaming world... Like the Europa Universalis III "expansions" (which are more like DLC when you think of it, most of them being worth their 10$). But most of the time I'd rather buy a 2-5$ game on gog.com (when it goes faster than 10k/s downloads...) or something cheap somewhere, you know, a full quality game that I haven't experienced yet. If I worked at a gaming studio and saw people making me rich by buying my anti-product for 10$, I'd be laughing my arse off at them.

I just played through RtO, and yeah, you're right, probably wasn't worth the $5.

Dragon Age was an excellent game, currently replaying it with the plan to do some things differently.

Very satisfied overall with my ending as a City Elf Rogue (Assassin/Duelist)

Spoiler :

Did Morrigans ritual, had done the 'romance' with her as well and took her into the final battle. Quite emotional at the end.
Got Alistair married to Anora and made him King.
Killed Loghain.
Made Shianni Arl of the Alienage and got them a place in the Landsmeet.
Made Prince Bhelen king who led reforms in Orzammer before disbanding the Assembly.
Destroyed the Anvil.
Started a new Grey warden order in Ferelden and took Zevran as "mascot" (his words)
...oh, and got the female Dwarf a place at the mages tower where she wrote some important papers on the use of Lyrium.
Plus others I've forgot probably.

after not playing for a while, I'm WELL into this game again.. it's taking me a while! although, I do leave it paused for extended periods of time, so I have no idea how long my playthrough really is

my party is crushing right now. my mage is just so powerful..

but I JUST realilzed something that is so important! I'm at level 18, and finally I figured this out..

whichever party member gets the Kill Shot on an enemy gets the experience... I just always assumed it was shared before!
so I've started outpacing my teammates a bit, because my Mage is by far the most damaging of the group...

just realized, I've got to lay off sometimes! and share that experience.
now obviously, SOME experience must be shared no matter what, but it appears whoever gets the Kill Shot gets a bonus, and it can be a big bonus..

I was wondering why some of my companions were 2-3 levels behind me. =\

yeah, like I said, I think some experience is shared, but then certain characters will get bonuses for the kill shot, or for example rogues get that bonus for disarming a trap or opening a chest.

I'm sure of it actually. I had a group of frozen werewolves. Leliana hit them with Shattering Shot, and like 3 or 4 of them shattered and BOOM, she got a level up with a big jump in XP

yeah they were right with me most of the game, just in the last few levels, I seem to have jumped ahead some..
not a big deal, but I prefer to get them closer to me, rather than get too far ahead.

I also notice the XP floater doesn't appear if Leliana's summoned Spider gets the Kill Shot

I'm thinking about replaying DA:O since the sequel is coming out in a few months. I got the Return to Ostagar and the Warden's Tower DLC but none of the other campaigns, or the expansion. (For what it's worth, I didn't think those two were worth it either.) Are they worth getting? I hear a certain spoiler character is returning in DA2, so I'm considering getting the Witch Hunt DLC since that's apparently a story bridge.

Honestly I wouldn't bother, they all basically reuse locations you've been too and apparently The Witch Hunt isn't even canon. I haven't played The Witch Hunt or the golem one yet but I bought them. Liliana's song is neat, but short and not worth getting unless you REALLY like Liliana (Which I do).

I got Witch Hunt and I thought it was pretty great. It doesn't really answer any questions, but it gives you a taste of what's going to be DA2, and the two characters introduced in the DLC are funny(or I thought they were). You also get a nice bow, and robes.

Oh, if it's not canon, then forget it.

Also, comment if you think this is the ideal ending:

Spoiler :
Hardened Alistair marries Anora, while Loghain is killed delivering the final blow. Seems appropriate to me. Alistair doesn't become a drunkard, Morrigan doesn't become the mother of a dark goddess, Anora gets what she wanted (and she doesn't become a tyrant because Alistair co-governs), the Warden survives to be with Leliana and Loghain redeems himself from his errors.

Yes. Though I'm not sure if its possible
Spoiler :
to save Loghain AND keep Alistair from running away?

Also I think the Morrigan getting the old god's powers might be the 'non-canon' ending thing I was thinking of.

In response to the above:

Spoiler :
If Alistair is hardened and you previously agreed to have him marry Anora, then he'll quit the party when you recruit Loghain, but will still become king.

The one thing I'm conflicted about is who to make the Dwarven king. The dwarves do better under Bhelen, but he's also a murderer (not a spoiler, it's part of the noble origin story), so that seems to be immoral.
